JVC KD-G320 and iPod problem

I keep my iPod 30gb hooked up to my stereo all the time. When I turn my truck off then turn it back on (or anytime I go to start my truck up) I have to hit the mode button until it reaches iPod for me to be able to hear the iPod. What I mean by this is even if it is in iPod mode when I start my truck, I have to cycle through all the modes and get back to iPod to hear anything. If I turn the volume all the way up, I can just barely hear the music playing through the stero from the iPod, but the volume is so low that its not audible enough to hear, and if I leave the volume all the way up and hit mode back to iPod it's ear-busting loud. It's not a big deal, but it is annoying to have to cylce through everytime I get in my truck. On a side note, if I unhook the iPod and hook it back up, it works, too. Everyone once in a great while it will work when I first start up the truck, but this is rare. Oh, also when in iPod mode there is a constant whine type noise that matches the frequency of the engine running. It only happens when in iPod mode, and not in satillite or radio modes.

SOURCE: Connecting iPod to JVC KD-LH810!?!

Hi, KD-LH810 has no option for external input. Refer to the picture attached. It is only front and rear line outputs. Don't get disappointed. Buy the accessory cable KS-U100 and you are set. This info is from the installation manual.

The buttons on my ipod classic (30gb model) don't work properly

font.f1 { font: 12px Helvetic Thanks for asking your question with Fixya Support. I will be glad to assist you.

Anytime your iPod's mechanical functionality is not where it should be, the easiest way to restore the device's button operations, is to either perform a restore

Or attempt to reset your iPod:
• Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
• Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. If it does not work the first time, you may have to repeat this process.

To acquire more troubleshooting options to regain operational capacity of your iPod Classic,
I have included the link from Apple for your model of iPod.

iPod (5th Gen) Troubleshooting Assistant

These processes should help restore the button functions on your iPod Classic.

I hope this helps. If it does not, please feel free to reply back to this post, I am always glad
to assist.

My iPod classic (30GB) keeps showing "do not

Try holding down the menu/center button for at least 10-15 seconds, if that does not reset it try the center button and play/pause combo for the same time period (I used to have the same model as you, one of these 2 combos usually worked).

You can also try connecting your ipod to another computer with iTunes on it to see if its a software or hardware problem with your iPod. Or you can uninstall/reinstall iTunes and see what happens after a fresh install

and yea you can let the battery run out overnight if you want, but if you do get to fix it I'd say back up your music on the iPod through a program like iDump or something in the meantime

How can i hook up my 30gb Ipod to my Bose 901 series VI and i have it hooked uo t couple of yahamhas

There has to be some amplification in here somewhere. Any single amplifier will not work correctly with the Active EQ for 901's applied to non-901 speakers.

Any MP3-player device with at least a headphone output can feed any standard audio device that has a Line Level input (other than "PHONO") once the output is adapted to fit the input.

How do you hook up your ipod through the rca cable hookups in the back without the radio still playing?

This is different on every stereo, but generally the RCA ports in the back of the stereo are labeled "Aux" or something to that extent.

First, you must purchase a headphone jack to RCA cable which can connect to both your stereo and your ipod.

Connect the cable, turn your ipod on and start playing a song. Turn the volume on the stereo to a moderate volume so you can hear when the song is being played through your stereo. Then, using the selector switch, turn the stereo from "Radio" to "Aux" or whatever it says next to the the RCA plug ins on the back.
