Question about Dell 924 All-in-One InkJet Printer

I can not install the faxing functions on my AIO 924 Ink Jet Printer. L am using the Guide provided doing exactly what the Guide says, does not work. It seems tjhat the correct software was never installed in the PC and keep asking for insertion on Drive E the CD Windows XP Professional CD-ROM which was not included with the PC when I bought it. I need some help,please, My Express Service Code is 35856422029 . Thanks. Rei .

    Your help didnt work. :inks dont connect(very long and difficult to copy. My PC is not a home edition replacing OS is not a very good option.

You should 1st find out if all your hardware is installed correctly B4 you go any farther. If you HOLD DOWN the WINDOWS Key ( the one with the windows logo) and PRESS the "PAUSE/BREAK" Key. That will open the "System Properties" window.
If you aren't sure what I mean, Click START goto the "CONTROL PANEL" and click on the SYSTEM ICON. That will also open the SYSTEM PROPERTIES
Click HARDWARE tab, Click DEVICE MANAGER Now BESIDES the printer which SHOULD have a EXCLAMATION MARK, Do any OTHER "Pieces" of hardware have ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR A PLUS SIGN? If yes, then the PC itself needs DRIVER (DRIVER: A piece of Software that makes a piece of Hardware work correctly.) Since your PRINTER is a DELL AIO 924, I will assume and pretend that your desktop is also a DELL if it's a HP or something else, Just substitute the correct name Whenever I say DELL. Goto, and look for the SUPPORT section,(on, it's at the Bottom of the page, it will be a little different depending on the site if not DELL)
From there you want the DOWNLAODS and DRIVERS Page It will ask you about what kind of hardware you have and what your OS (operating System) is. Then you will be taken to the available Downloads for your PC.
BELOW is the page for your PRINTER.
If none of the hardware needs drivers, If everything has a PLUS sign beside of it in the DEVICE MANAGER, Then you should 1st simply UNINSTALL, then REINSTALL the original software for the printer, by using the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS ICON in the control panel, remove all references to the printer, then RESTART YOUR PC, then try to reinstall the software,(remember it's in the link above if you dont have it), 2nd you need to try to either Install or ReInstall some of the Windows Telephony Software. In the control Panel, click ADD/Remove Programs, on the left hand side click Add/Remove Windows Components, see if FAX SERVICES is checked, You can also try clicking NETWORK SERVICES and checking "Simple TCP/IP Services" If you are asked for a windows CD, you should insert your RESTORE/RECOVERY CD/DVD, If you didn't recieve a set, Chances are you were ASKED TO CREATE RECOVERY DISKS the VERY 1ST TIME YOU TURNED THE PC ON, you can try to create a set, usually in the start menu under the DELL (IF IT'S A DELL) folder or Recovery or Maintanence,(IT IS USUALLY CALLED RECOVERY DISC CREATOR) there may be a seperate CD (and seperate Creator) for Apps and/or Drivers, make if needed. And then insert the RESTORE CD when prompted for the Windows CD. OR
3rd Insert a friends or neighbors or relatives Windows CD or Restore CD (If its the same Manufacterer, and the same OS Type, ex.Win XP as opposed to Win ME or VISTA)

Try downloading the new driver version and install it.

For guide installation;

For WInxp cd

This another additional services on your pc to activate Faxing services on your operating system. You must install faxing services on your windows XP to enable this feature on your Computer. This is already a feature of WIndows XP operating system not the Dell AIO 924 Jet Printer. Sad to say, but you really need a Windows XP home CD installers to have this services to your pc. You can also contact your Computer manufacturer to give the Windows XP cd Installer.

My Dell AIO 924 printer will not feed paper.

1.Check inside the printer to see if you have the ink properly installed.
2.Make sure you don't you re-use papers that you have already used.
3.All papers have to be perfectly allined.
4.Check the connection wires between the computer and the printer.
5.Scan your computer with a security system to catch and eliminate viruses,tracking cookies etc.
If all else fails I don't know what to say

My Dell Photo A10 Printer is stuck on 'PAUSE' and I can"t get it off . Please help.

There is no A10 printer , the AIO stands for All-In-One. So i'll assume you have the 924 model.
First make sure the printer itself is functional: shut it down, disconnect it from the pc, start it and use it to scan and copy a file - just press the Start button.
If it doesn't work then the printer is effectively dead - the damage is in the procesor and to replace iot would cost more than a new printer.
If it works then there is something wrong in the setting from the pc. In that case the first thing you should check in Start ? Control Panel ? Printers and Other Hardware ? Printers and Faxes ? Double-click Dell Photo AIO Printer 924, and then click Printer ; in there make sure a check mark is not next to Pause Printing. If a check mark is next to Pause Printing, click Pause Printing to clear it. If it's not then the driver and the associated utility have been corrupted: uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs, reboot , manually wipe all the remaining Dell folders reboot one more time and reinstall them.

Lost disc to down laod looking for free to install printer

You can download the drivers for the lexmark X4270 directly from the lexmark website. It has the drivers for Windows7 / Vista / XP / Windows 2000.

If you need to restore the printer to factory defaults here is how to do it.

Restore Factory Defaults; Reset printer; Reset Settings; Reset Solution

  1. Press the Copy button on the operator panel.
  2. Press the Options button until SET DEFAULTS: Use Factory is displayed, then press Select.
  3. Select the settings you require as follows:
    LANGUAGE? Press the right arrow key to select the language you want to use, and then press Select.

  4. COUNTRY CODE: Press the right arrow key to select the country you will be using the printer in, and then press Select.

  5. ENTER DATE: Using the date format dd/mm/yy (in the USA, mm/dd/yy), press Select.

  6. ENTER TIME: Using the format hh:mm, press Select.

  7. Select Format
    : Press the appropriate number to choose between 1=12hr 2=24hr.

Enter Name: Type in the sender name and press Select.

Enter Fax Number: Type in the number of the phone line to which the printer will be connected, and then press Select.

I do not have the installation disk for the Dell AIO 924

Click here to open the drivers download page for your printer.

Chose the right windows version in the box on web page above.

After download is complete install drivers.

Start driver installation with printer USB unplugged.

Dell AIO 924 - Can't get the Print In Black Only option to work

hello! Ttry this option. At start menu select control panel, then select printer, then right at your printer model, then select properties, and select maintenance. At maintenance menu, select ink settings. if you want to use black ink only then click the menu button. or at Printing Preferences select main, then just check the box with grayscale printing.  if the problem still the same Try upgrading your system to XP Pack2 Professional or Vista Premium/Ultimate, then install your printer driver. These two system has a built in upgraded plug and play drivers, so it best suit to your need. thats it... Have nice day!

just go in to the printer properties and select the proper printsize you want.
if you want to change the size of the words just select the document by pressing ---CTRL + A--- togrther and it will be selected .then on the same page on the upper side you can see the very small arrow pointing towards down just click that arrow and you can select the size of the word you want.

Epson CX4800 dried ink

You can use the "Clean Print Heads" function if your printer allows and provides such an option. You can find this option via the printer proprties (Start > Printers and Faxes, right click your printer and select Properties. The clean options will usually be on the Maintenance tab)

Problem with Dell ink jet refill....

Are you using the Dell software to replace the cartridge?
If you where just replacing without running the software then it wont know you have replaced the cartridge.
Let me know.
