Rockbox now wen i turn it on some wierd rockbox thing comes up instead of the usual cycling between the animated pictures (camera, music, etc.). so what i did was i went on my computer and deleted the rockbox thing and now when i turn on the sansa it says cannot find rockbox and then shuts off so then i went to the rockbox website and downloaded a zipped sansa rockbox file and i unzipped it and put it in the sansa folder. but now when i turn it on it still says cannot find rockbox so my 2 questions are how can i get rockbox back and also how do i get it back to the normal screen instead of the rockbox screen??????

Re: rockbox

1 - since you really did nt delete all of rockbox (you shoud reinstall the whole thing) this will take of the system looking for it.
2 - you will have a dual boot up and a choice of which one u wish
Key Action

Power Start Rockbox
Long Power Shutdown Rockbox
On shutdown, Rockbox automatically saves its settings.

Rockbox has a dual-boot feature. To boot into the original firmware, press and hold the Left button while turning on the player.

Accidental Rockbox file deletion

You will have to find someone with the same make/model and copy there files over to yours. This sadly is the only way to fix it.

How do i get my sansa to read my micro sd memory card

You can only have music on the microSD card; no pictures and no videos. The music tracks need to be in a folder titled "MUSIC".

30g ipod rockbox wont sync with itunes after doom install

If you look at the Rockbox documentation, there is a way to reboot your iPod into the original iPod firmware and use the original interface as well as having the ability to boot into the Rockbox firmware.
The Rockbox firmware is great if you want more options for transfer and skins and so on, but it is not as easy to use as the stock iPod interface.
You can also refer to the documentation that will show how to remove Rockbox and go back to the original Apple software. I ran Rockbox for a while but it was more or a pain in the **** than I cared to deal with so I uninstalled it.
Worst case is you can do a full restore in iTunes that will restore the iPod to factory, but it will wipe the music you have loaded. Hope you have a backup.

Hope this helps.

USB Malfunction

oh God. I have the same problem. but my grandparents got it for me, so i can't find the courage to throw it away. too much sentimental value. see, i put Rockbox on it. it was working fine for a while. this sucks. the good thing - you can copy/cut/paste/delete/move....etc. with Rockbox. so i just put the music on the microSD through the computer, then put it into the player and cut/paste.

Bought a refurb and can't load music or files

SanDisk and have the manuals and software available, of course.
They're minimalistic, though; likewise, the media converter is not maintained and its flaws show.
The short way is; attach the USB cable and plug it in, then move a bunch of mp3s into the MUSIC directory; they can be in subfolders for convenience of organization and they'll be found (except for some long filenames and other things the firmware handles poorly.) Be sure to wait once you order the copy, for it to complete; or not all of your files will make it.

If you want to do more with the player, and play formats like .OGG and .FLAC, or move YouTube videos there, read a bit at
eBay people will of course gladly sell car chargers, etc.
