Gaskets are generally not replaced alot but do need maintenance occasionally. to replace is a little work. remove top cover, screws in rear and remove plastic rear control cover 3 screws. lift cover and pull out. remove screws holding control console and lift up to remove. remove lower panel, gasket spring clip, and door lock screws (in door opening). remove front panel screws lower then upper. door stays attached. there is another wire clip around boot at tub.
Being an active repairman, I have this machine at home and love it.

Replace the machine with a top loader and you'll never have a leaking gasket again! Worked at National Linen for a while and the floors had drains in them and were always wet! Needless to say the pros have the same problem you do! ;)

What is the part number for the rubber gasket or bellow for the GE front load washer Model #WBVH5200?

The door rubber gasket/bellow for GE WBVH5200J0WW/J1WW/J2WW/J3WW/K0WW is part number WH08X10036. The said part may look a bit different from the original one installed on your machine but it is an original equipment manufacturer replacement part and is equivalently functional.

WBVH6240FWW GE FRONT LOAD control counts dow to 9 mins then jumps back to 11 mins in rinse and drain. I replaced the control. What else could cause this problem

Too much soap generally causes it to change time. Soap causes motor overload. The control detect over amping and declares a suds error. All machines have this built in though many do not display the error. Items between baskets can also trigger this.

My question is; the washer,model,wbvh6240 has any filter

No , all new front loads have a self cleaning filter. Therefore nothing needs to be emptied or clean. The little trap door in front of the washer is to drain it in case of a power failure when the washer is full of water. .

Door gasket leaking

My GE washer model wcvh6400j0ww was leaking too. The repair person thought the same thing the gasket. It turned out to be the water in-let pipe (WH41X10118 and you will need seal WH41X10119) and not the gasket. He ordered the gasket and took machine apart to replace and found cracked pipe. Take your machines front off and make sure it is the gasket leaking. Good Luck,

My GE Front load washer (WBVH6240) has an odor that smells like mildew in it. If the is left closed the odor is really bad. Do you know how to fix this or what is comes from?

run a empty cycle with bleach on whites/ sanitize. clean boot (rubber gasket at door) with bleach or other cleaner inside especially at bottom, make sure 3 holes at bottom are clear.
this may take multiple cycles to rid of odor.
For maintenance, you should wipe excess water from boot after last load, and check lower drain holes. Once a month wipe boot with windex or other. and run cleaner cycle (empty) newer machines have a special clean washer cycle. (6240 doesnt).
Also clean your drain pump filter at bottom front behind access panel.
If boot is really bad , replace.

Rubber seal, drainage seal on washer ruptured its about 3" thick.

being 3 years old you will not be under any warranty. as far as the parts go any appliance shop with your model # will be able to get you the correct part. none of the appliance parts stores go by part number as these are constantly changing for better parts from the aftermarket then what the manufacturer used. so again just take your model # and call a few appliance parts company or even repair shops will sell parts as well.
