Hello my friend,  Regarding on your problem, email has an antivirus that will scan all attached files before it sends to the sender. So that part of their security to ensure the safety of the data in their client. So i recommend that if you send some files over emai lmake it sure that the file you attached is virus free. You can scan it first in your compter before you can attached it in the email. Or avoid sending files.exe extension to avoid the block.
Hope this suggestion helps you to understand the reason why this things happen and able to help your problem solve.
If you need more assistance just reply to this post. thank you

Unable to receive emails

What software do you use for email? Perhaps it needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled. Who is your email provider? Maybe the settings for your account need to be updated or corrected. Most providers have help pages on how to connect to their servers. Did email work before and stop suddenly? You may have to accommodate recent changes to your computer such as updated email software being blocked by anti-virus or firewall requires the anti-virus or firewall to be updated to allow the software to access the Internet.

How to keep your computer virus free

Many people that I have helped with computer viruses had recently purchased new computers which have virus protection included in the software bundle. The problem with these virus protection programs is that the updates are only good for the first year. After that, you must pay a fee to continue to get virus updates.

Many consumers don't realize this and after the year is up, do not renew the membership with the anti-virus company, leaving their computer unprotected from incoming viruses.

So, if you purchased a computer over a year ago, be aware of this problem. You will need to pay the yearly fee to maintain your anti-virus updates or get another anti-virus software available on the market.

There are some anti virus programs that are free or low cost. I have found AVG to provide a good quality free anti-virus program for home users. You can access the download at http://free.avg.com/us-en/download-avg-anti-virus-free.

Also, remember to be aware of emails from senders that you are not familiar with. Also be very careful about opening attachments on any emails. Be sure you know who sent them to you. Even then, if your not sure, verify with the sender that they actually sent this attachment to you before opening it. Email attachments are one of the most common ways of spreading viruses.

So, be careful and happy surfing!

I have lost my email on my toolbar how do I retrieve it?

Sounds like you have a virus or malware messing with you.

Start your PC and press F8 several times until the boot menu comes up. Then select "Safe Mode with Networking". Now get some or ALL of the FREE programs below.

Download, Install and Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

When Installing choose the non-pro version.

Download, Unzip, Install and Run TDSSKiller:
http://majorgeeks.com/Kaspersky_TDSSKiller_d6895.html

Download, Install and Run Super Anti-Spyware:
http://majorgeeks.com/SUPERAntiSpyware_d5116.html

If you have an outdated Anti-virus program then Download, Install and Run Avira Anti-Virus:
http://majorgeeks.com/Avira_AntiVir_Personal_-_FREE_Antivirus_d955.html
Make sure to select ALL of the "threat categories" when you install or configure Avira...

You should be in pretty good shape if you run and install all of these programs..

Can't attach pictures in email

Some anti-virus programs will prevent pictures based on extensions from being sent via email. Check to see if this is so if you got any updates from your anti-virus program. You can send them if you change the extension from .bmp, or .jpg or whatever to .txt. Mind you that there may also be a size limitation from your ISP of maybe 10 MB per email

Relay access errors using Microsoft Outlook 2002. Checked setting and the server req. athentication has been checked. Number following error is 554 5.7.1

Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.

Please check your firewall settings to prevent the error message. You will need to open your anti-virus (if a paid subscription) and allow outlook the access.

Also, some email host have a limit on how many times a day outlook can "relay" or retrieve messages. I believe the default is set to 250 a day. I am not sure if you are exceeding this amount but you can log into your email account and check.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I cannot open any attachments, how do I fix this?

A Yahoo posting suggests that you disable scanning attachments in your anti virus software. If that fails go back to classic mail Hope this helps. or else http://en.kioskea.net/forum/affich-33677-can-t-download-attachments-on-my-yahoo-email
I had the same problem, which had to do with my anti-virus (Trend Micro). I had to go into Virus Controls; then Protection Against Viruses; click on Settings and uncheck the box that said "Threats in Web mail attachments". Remember, Yahoo uses Norton to download attachments so you can't have two virus protections "running" at the same time.
i think this will help u thanks vote for me

Every time I open an email with an attachment my pc crashes. My isp is aol. Also I am prevented from accessing my aol mailbox on Internet explorer

this is a setting from the browser ...go to tools internet options( explorer) or options from tools for mozila and add to exceptions ..or lift the interdiction ...
in what regards the attachments into the mails its a blocking from the anti-virus...go to the anti-virus settings and lift the scanning for attachments or at least make 'it more permissible >>

Can not make attachments directly from software

You didn't say which email program your using but quite possibly its a setting issue. Check that your security options allow attachments and what file types are alloweed. Also some anti-virus security suites will cause the same issue.

Hope this helps
