My sony camcorder video tape door won't shu...
My sony camcorder hasn't shut since last year. I have absolutely no idea why it won't close or what is causing it not to close. Hopefully you guys know what to do. Thanks

- That's just a temporary solution. Now my cam is back to not closing again. It's pissing me off that no one has a solution but a lot of people have the problem.

- I had the same problem with my SONY DV Cam. The door would not shut with a tape inserted. I quit using it for about 3 or 4 months, then I thought of something. I removed the flip-up cover on one tape and tried the camcorder. It works just fine, now! It had something to do with the mechanics when the camera would open the tape to begin use. This may help someone with a similar issue....
However, my mother-in-law has a Canon ES75 with the same problem. I just tried the same thing with a tape, to no avail. I'm now in search of other things to try.-

My girlfriend dropped this camera during her China trip last year. The HV10 will ONLY power up when I press on the battery near the connectors. If I don't press on it, it will not power up. Now when I use it, I have to hold the camera with my right hand, press with my left hand and it works fine. Obviously there's a problem with the connectors. I have 5 batteries and each one has the same issues. I need to find out how to get this thing working again.

I insert the tape hear some wirring noises but no click. The tape stays in the up position and does not drop.

My camcorder door won't close when a tape is in it, but it will close when it has no tape. How can I fix this?
