Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player
Everytime I plug my Mp3 player into my computer it freezes and I can't do anything with it until the battery dies. it won't let me shut it off or anything. I have no songs on it because everytime I use the usb to plug it into the pc it freezes and I can do nothing. please does anyone know what I should do. Thanks
I want to thank all of you who post solutions. I plugged my daughter's SanDisk into a solar recharger I paid a good bit of money for and the player stayed off... and stayed off. I thought the battery had burned out, but after reading this forum I held the power button for 20 seconds and it has come back to life. A hurt 14-year-old is now very happy and the solar recharger is going back for a refund. You are smile-savers!

The same thing use to happen to me as well. Make sure you installed the software. And see if you can get any windows updates for Windows media player. The older versions need an updated active sync. Also click on the bubble that pops up in the corner of your screen when you connect it.that says somthing like usb mass storage device. If it says device is not working properly click on trouble shooter.

You can press and hold the power/menu button for 20 seconds. This will force the player to shut off. Restart it, if you are still having problems, try the following. Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted. http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool. - Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds) - Slide the hold switch into "hold" position. - Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer. Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted. Best of Luck.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
