Re: DVD door won't open

I have a ThinkPad T60; and it wouldn't open (drawer)...turns out the system had to be "ON" and the OS loaded and operational; THEN, the drawer opened, IF you satisfied the conditions, AND then held pressure on the silver thinkpad button on the drawer on the left side of the thinkpad machine. (Apparently the ThinkPad is not a mechanical button that triggers the DVD/CD drawer....It's not explained in the PDF user guides from the Lenovo website. (I have no manual since this was a refurbished unit from a private source. Other than that it's worked very well for me so far)

Are you using the remote or touch button on case to eject tray?
Sometimes the top lid gets warped and prevents the tray from opening. Press eject and lift the front part of the lid at the same time.

The disk door couldnot open

On the front of most DVD players there is a button with EJECT printed under it.

The same button is normally on remotes.

Try pressing this button.

DVD tray will not open

When a disk is stuck inside the player , try following the procedure below:

Unplug power cord.
Plug back power.
Turn on the unit and press repeatedly the eject button at the same time. If you successeed in ejecting the disk before the player starts reading TOC(disk initial track), then the disk will eject.
If that does not work, then there is an internal fault, in that case the unit must be taken apart to remove the disk.
