IP4200 CD problem

My priter prints out of both trays fine but when I go to use the CD printing feature it just spits out the CD tray and the orange light flashes twice, when I open up the top lid and watch the tray go in it seems to hit on the rear white strip. Any ideas??

Been playing for a while now but sorted it. For some reason if I put the tray in just passed the arrows (according to canon to far in) it works. Do i need clean anything or just put up with it?

I have the same problem. This was a sudden occurrence, where I printed 3 disks perfectly, then the machine went technical and spat out the tray. The only solution I have found is to simply push the tray in about 1cm (½ inch) past the arrows. I have cleaned, reset, downloaded drivers - the whole bit, but I cannot get it to work properly.

CD/DVD Tray open; Close Tray to print

This solution is taken from the HP website.

Follow these steps to print on a CD or DVD.
  1. Make sure that the CD/DVD tray is completely closed (completely inserted into the product).
NOTE: Make sure that the side of the tray that holds the CD/DVD is inserted into the printer first.
  2. In HP Photosmart Essential, click the Print tab.
  3. Click Printer Settings and then click Advanced to open the printer properties.
  4. In the properties, click the Features tab.
  5. In Paper Type , select Printable CD 120mm .
  6. In Source , select the CD/DVD tray .
  7. Save the settings and then again attempt to print on the CD or DVD.

Epson 220 not printing cd labels anymore

Clean the white areas on the tray with a light solvent cleaner like windolene/windex liquid. Also try giving the tray a helping hand as it is started to be fed into the printer
