Question about Sony KV-35S66 35" TV

1 Answer

No pic/sound from inputs

My KV-35s66 just stopped recognizing any input from the coaxial or the 2 inputs. The menus and channel display come up, it just won't recognize the cable or even antenna.

Re: No pic/sound from inputs

Already post other solution about this. On Sony TVs, the common problem is loose connections. Your TV have a ssb ( vertical position) unplug and re solder. Other thing, Tuner will be in loose connection too. Try and I hope this work for you.

I have a Sony KV-27XBR55 TV, that wont display signal (Video nor sound) it only displays 0 0000 on the Channel input

It sounds like you are in the service menu---aside from the zeros what if anything else can be seen?

The set does have (all Sony sets do) a reset done only with the original Sony remote.

Video 7 will not disappear when the remote display button is depressed

If the set goes to all the inputs and works and only will not go out when display is pressed (if display works on the other inputs) the set may need to be reset to factory default or in some cases in the tech menu it may have the wrong number code listed for that input.

Problem is only on one input?

Display off works for channel and other inputs?

I did a reset on my Sony WEGA TV but now it's not connect with the cable box. Just says no signal. Screen is all snow and no sound other than static.

you need to reprogram channels. Itll only pick up 3 if you are still using coaxial cable from box, or change input to DVI/HDMI, aux, etc.

Coaxial hookup broke off. Can i use an s cable through vcr? need instructions.

If your Sharp television has RCA jacks, you may use them through your VCR. Your VCR would have to have a tuner and then you may use this as a means for getting a signal. Newer VCRs and DVD players generally do not have a tuner. Thanks for asking!

I have a playstation 2 plugged in to my GE 20gt372 and I can't get to a screen to use the PS2. No Input button, universal remote. Whats the trick?

I'm not familiar with Playstation 2 outputs, but you need to change the channel on your GE TV to 90 or 91, which corresponds to the S-Video or the Video Input (RCA input--not digital component video), respectively--depending on which you're using. OR if you're using the standard coaxial input you should just need to turn the TV channel to 3 or 4, whichever one corresponds to the output of your Playstation 2.

No remote and channels won't set

Hi Roberta :)

There are a number of possible problems that can be the cause here lets go over them and see if you can deduce your problem.

The first thing I think of after reading this is the Video 1 displayed on the screen. On the back of your Tv and front sometimes there are 1 or 2 Coaxial Inputs, as many as 1-6 Componet Inputs (Red White and Yellow) and maybe some others if your tv is newer such as HDMI or S Video or Infrared port or something.

Take a look at your tv and count the total inputs (you will have 1 ouptut component for recording purposes). Each one of these has on a Television a "Source" or "Input" mode. if you can get through the menus with buttons to anything that says source or input try and manipulate that setting this may flash between these "sources" or "inputs" and show different screens (one might be cable one might be DVD player if its on, one might be Static and several could just plain be empty.

If you are unable to do this try unplugging the device for a few mins, then press the power button to discharge power in the unit. now plug it back in and see if the T.V. enters a setup mode where it scans for channels for cable or resets the input possibly.

Again if this is unsuccesful you can post your T.V. Manufacturer and Model and ill find you a model of universal remote that you can purchase that will be compatible with your tv

Comment if you trouble persists.

Input problem

Hi there!
You will have to get a remote to do this unfortunately. Try a universal, it will be cheaper than a Sony Original. Good Luck, JUS004

I want to use tv as a pc monitor

You'll have to have a video card with an S-Video output if your not doing so now. Then on your computer you need to go to your control panel, then select monitor settings and set it up from there. Beware that using a television as a monitor is grossly deteriated. For the audio, you need a stereo mini jack to RCA phono plug cable to plug to go from your sound card to the audio input.
