Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have a HP officejet 5510. I just put in a new black #56 hp cartridge and the message says "printer cartridge error. See product documentation for details." This is the second cartridge out of a twin pack and the first one worked fine, but this one will not allow me to go any further. i have tried taking both out (the black and the color) and putting them back in but I keep getting the same error message.
Like any other mass-produced parts, there will be some defective printer cartridges and it sounds like you have one. Since the first cartridge worked there's no reason to suspect a printer problem. I would suggest taking the cartridge back to the store where you purchased it and explain the situation. Since dud parts go back to the manufacturer, maybe they will exchange it for you as defective.
