However, I did find the solutuion to my problem. The cleaner assembly lost a cover, it was jamming the system. I pulled it the other one, and a lot of ink goo out, and it works fine.

My Carriage Return Belt is frazzled and about to break. Where and how can I get a replacement for this thin but until now strong belt? I'm quite sure I can put a new on myself.

HP 1315v Printer Makes grinding noise and won't feed paper anymore

It sounds as though a sheet of paper or an envelope bunched up and has jammed inside. Until that is removed from the feed roller, you will continue to hear the 'grinding' sound, and won't be able to print anything. Remove the cover from the backside of the machine, then locate and remove the obstruction. If you don't have any such obstruction then you have a mechanical defect which is not user repairable.

Hp cp3525 printer makes clicking noise when printing and start up

  • Make sure the paper type levers are set right in the tray. When loading paper this can get moved and the printer will think it is picking up bigger paper than is actually loaded and it will click.
  • Locate the fuser, usually just before the paper exits and it should be easily accessable from the back panel. Remove the fuser and inspect the gears, they will get chewed up and may need to be replaced. A good sign will be a lot of white dust which is bits of the gear itself.

When i print, the printer makes a grinding noise the paper gets jamed also.

Remove the fuser unit and check if there is a residue on the side of the gears. If so, you 'll have to replace the swing gear assy. Partnumber 5851-2766. It is not an easy job!!!

Color Laserjet 2550 Loud Noise when starting up and printing

Remove toner cartirdge and check gears on cart as well as all of the gears you can see inside the unit for any signs of wear. You may also need to remove the fuser assembly and perform the same task with the gears back there. MAKE SURE THE POWER HAS BEEN TURNED OFF AND THE PRINTER UNPLUGGED FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO TOUCH THE FUSER. IT WILL BE HOT!!! Most frequently these kinds of noises from the printer are due to gears slipping. Sometimes simply reseating the fuser assembly or toner cartridge will fix it. If there appears to be excessive wear on any of the gears, you will need to replace them.

Printing

Does it feed a length of paper? if so, you may have either the wrong paper, or the paper loaded incorrectly. It needs to be thermal paper, and it will only print on one side, so if you are sure its thermal paper then try turning the paper over and loading it that way.

If it doesnt feed any paper and just makes noise then the problem is probably a broken gear inside the printer. For this you would need to find a place that can repair these terminals.
