If it's gas it could be that the pilot is not close enough to the gas sensor and when the drier is in motion the extra air motion shuts it off.
if its elect it could be that one of the fuses are not set shut both fuses down and turn them BOTH back on
Gas clean the elect pilot and be sure it is close to the sensor that looks like a little tube

Dryer timer won't shut off at end of cycle. Dryer runs, but no heat. It is a Whirlpool model number LGR4634JQ2.

Since you say that the dryer runs but have no heat, plus the timer won't shut off the odds are the timer is bad. The timer would tell the burner when to be on and when to shut down.

Have a Whirlpool gas dryer, model #LGR4634JQ2, that will not heat anymore and has a rattling noise every now and then. Any ideas?

The rattling noise is maybe a sort of buzzing only more metallic? Sounds like the coils on the gas valve making it flutter. Causes are the coils and/or the ignitor.

hi thanks for the question ther is a thermostat on the air duct at the back of the dryer it has 2 wires at ends and 2 wires in the middle smaller ones this thermostat opens to turn off heat and the small wires on this thermostat when the heats shuts off then power goes to the timer and not before if it shuts off on timed dry timer is ok i would vacuum the dryer make sure all the vent right to the outside is clean as air flow restriction can cause this problem thanks the appliance doc

NOT BLOWING WARM AIR

Most dryers have a thermal cutout, a non-resettable overheat protection, take the model and manufacturer details to your local repair store and you can buy one easily.
then its, take off the rear plate, and trace the exhaust air ducts back till you find an identical item screwed to a duct, unplug its connectors screw the new one in place, plug in the connectors.
Exact info cant be given as you did not tell what make and model the affected dryer is

Whirlpool dryer with no heat

Is the igniter glowing yellow? Look inside the pilot access hole and see if it lights up. If it lights up then goes off, it may be the thermal fuse. Once this blows, it has to be replaced. There are pictures all over the internet on the location of this part.
Good luck.
