Question about Cameras

My eos400d is taking photos but the lcd screen is not turning on at all. I cannot preview photos or access the menu. When it first did it the cf card started flashing wen I tried to take a photo. After taking some more photos I got a full cf card message. I deleted photos using my computer as I cant see anything on the screen but the lcd screen still wont come on. I have pressed the disp button also but nothing happens.

Your LCD display card has failed.
This is usually due to mishandling - dropping, bumping, drastic temp change, high humidity etc.
There is no end-user or easy "push this button" fix.
Please contact your local Canon repair shop to have it repaired.

Thanks for using FixYa!!

Problem with the CF card

Do both of these CF cards still function when you connect them to the computer?
Inspect the CF connector on the camera using a flashlight (torch). It's possible that one or more pins on the connector may have been damaged, somehow. If this is the case, the camera will need to be repaired.
Can you still operate the menus after the error message appears? If so, use the menus to reformat the card (see the manual for instructions).

Accessing internal memory on the Canon Digital Rebel EOS 300D

There is no internal permanent memory. There is a buffer that holds data momentarily while the data is written to the memory card, but the buffer is flushed after each shot or series of shots. Sorry.

HELP 350d still not turning on/screen not working

Hmmm... doesn't sound too good does it? Have you tried another CF card? I know you said it doesn't work even without a card but...

Also one last thing to try is to tkae out both batteries, the main one and the slim watch style backup battery that sits right next to the main one under the cover labelled CR2016. Leave them both out for an hour and see what happens. NOTE this will probably reset your camera to factory defaults and may reset the photo numbering counter back to zero. Worth a try?

Canon 350d not turning on/screen not working/

Does the camera work properly with the CF card removed? If it does than the CF card is the problem. Try formatting the card with the camera or getting a new one.

I'm having 3 different problems with my Canon Rebel XT

According to Canon, Error code 02 means that "There is a problem with the CF card. Try any of the following: Remove and re-insert the CF card. Format the CF card, use a different CF card."

Are both CF cards the same brand? Sometimes some brands have conflicts with the camera, you might try using two different brands.

It may not be the card, did you try on the third attempt to remove the battery and put it back in? There may be a problem with the contact points where the CF card plugs into the camera, or in the transfer system itself.

Extreme Difficulties With My Canon

Problem #1
this is not a problem.. if you leave the camera in the ON setting for long enough.. it goes to sleep ... in order to conserve battery life.. you need to keep some of the buttons pressed for a bit for it to wake up... e.g. keep the picture taking button depressed for 5 secs.

Problem #2
If you were checking the pictures after just shooting them then its probably a CF card problem. You can also get the same error .. i.e. corrupted files from the cameras perspective.. if you use a CF card reader and try to change the pictures on the card.
You should try to connect the CF card that has those pictures to a computer it might be able to open them.. .

Otherwise try another CF card.

LCD screen won't show preview except in C mode

Well, after a little more googling, I'm embarrassed to say I've found the solution. I must have somehow pressed the display button which turned the preview display off. I tried pressing all of the buttons before I made my previous post, but apparently i didn't press it. :(

Does it do as you describe with a different lens? Have you ever had "error 99" or any other "error" show up in the upper LCD panel?
