Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

2 Answers

Mp3 title When I upload my songs onto my e270... half of my songs are titled wrong or untitled at all. some songs don't have an artist and it makes it hard for me to search for a particular song on the player. I know that all the info that I need to change to fix the problem are on the summary properties of the file but I don't know how to change the fields. The only field that I can change is the title and sometimes nothing at all. I need help. How do you change the property summary of an mp3 file?

Yes I have the same problem.. It's really REALLY annoying, I bought this player because I thought I'd be able to edit the songs just by changing the file name, but it says the files cannot be opened directly from this device when I try the solution suggested here going to properties and so on. When I sync the device not all files show up on the sync, i.e., there are waaay more files on the device than those that show up when I try and sync it to my computer.

It's probably just me but this is the most unintuitive, hard to use mp3 player ever (on the computer)

I've got songs from other people and they have called them other names or spelt the names incorrectly, so in my player they of course turn up under different folders - I just want all the songs from one group to be in the same folder, so I just want to change the file name so it does this. sooo annoying.

If you are running windows xp follow this, You need to edit each file one by one, so right click one and got to properties, then summary, just like you did before. You should have a button that says adavnced towards the bottom, click advanced and you will see all the descriptions, see the pic. Double click each box and type the description. You will not be able to do this if they are proteced. Good Luck

Depends on what program you are using. If you were to use itunes, you can just right click and select "info" then edit any parameter you want, even add albulm art.

How do i change how the songs appear on my mp3 player? I want to make it so the artist comes first then the song. for example Boys II Men-On Bended Knee

You'll need to make changes trough your computer.
Open Samsung Media Studio > Right Click a Song > Properties

You will something like this:
Title: On Bended Knee
Artist: Boys II Men

Change it to
Title: Boys II Men-On Bended Knee
Artist: (blank)

LG dare does not show artist name during playback. It only shows the song title. So, if I have a random playlist set up, with random artists, etc. I only see the song title during playback. If I want to...

rename the file types as follows (artist name - song title.mp3) example (Lit - Miserable.mp3)

otherwise you must edit the song info in each indivicual song from your computer and add the artist name by right-clicking the file and selecting properties........thanks and pls rate this post

Song Names show up incorrectly on ILO Mp3 player. Wrong format?

The funny~.mp3 names are usually because the title field is not filled in in the mp3 property tags, so it uses the DOS version of the filename for the title. Under windows, right click the song and select properties->summary->advanced, and make sure that the title field under "description" has what you want in it. I don't think even the makers of Ilo know how it organizes the files.

I need help

MP3 players are very simple. What I do is go to a site called radio blog (radioblogclub.com). No inserting e-mail or anything. After getting the song I like (and loading it), I go to Tools>Internet Options>Settings>View Files then I choose the song I loaded, copy it onto the desktop and convert it (open as...) to a flash (.wav) and then drag it to the MP3 Player. It copies and bam, you're done.(Check it for viruses).Usually it is an .rbs format so I play it on flash, then save as and add .mp3 at the end. Also if the MP3 Player says a whole bunch of stuff you don't need(Audioslave%20-Be%20Yourself%20) select the song and click on properties and go the far right and click advanced and then artist and put in the artist and for title put the title of the song. If you did it right, it should play well. Hope it works
