Question about Apple safari

1 Answer

All of once I am receiving l email on my MAC thru Safari and all of the rest of my mail is thru Cox Communications on WebMail which is not as easy to maneuver than Safari. I would much rather have them come thru Safari. I have a MAC Pro OS 10.4.00 2.16 GHzIntel Core 2 duo.   Cox Communications does not support Safari but I didn't have any problems until now. Thank you Maureen Warren

How do a delete an incoming mail which seems to be stuck and blocking rest of incoming mail

I suggest logging directly into the webmail interface through your browser. Most Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have a web based interface (much like Gmaile and Hotmail/MSN) where you can login (using your email address and account password) and access your email that way. You can simply review the messages in your Inbox and delete anything you do not want to download.

Cox email unable to initialize applet

Cox email account is not able to initialize applets? Solution is here:

Cox email account is regarded as one of the best webmail accounts as the compare of others just because of its offeringsmooth and fast email services. There are most of the users who are having this webmail account on their devices like Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac, and much more. But it would be not wrong to say that someone can face any types of the bugs this is whyCox email customer service center is available at every time to redress the bugs.
And just by this way, if someone is using Windows device with the Mozilla Firefox browser and trying to initialized applets then check out the Java is enabled on that browser or not. But if Java is already installed and applets are not working then it is necessary to make it enable through the Firefox browser.

At the meantime, if someone having any issue while doing so then he can get an instant support with skilled Cox email technical support representatives who are pretty deft on how to fix when Cox email is unable to initialize applets within a time.

Strictly speaking, this article is as an amazing enchiridion for all those users who are required to follow the steps:
  • Open a Windows device and then launch the Mozilla Firefox internet browser.
  • Search out the stuff on the URL address bar if it is working fine then go to the settings.
  • Click on the tools menu and then click on the internet option.
  • Select the security tab and then select the custom level button and then move to the next button.
  • Click on the Scripting of Java applets and then scroll down to move it to perform the action.
  • Now make sure that Java is enabled or not if not then click on the Enabled button and then check mark it.
  • Having done the process click on the save your preference and then click on the OK button eventually.
Hopefully, now the problem is fixed, but if the users are having still any issue then they can make a call to Cox helpline number that is available 24 by 7 to access tech support executive who fixes the issue in the nick of time.

Ibook g4 i cannot get my password to work for mac mail

If the password is only an issue in the application "Mail", there is nothing wrong with your mac. Whatever application you use for your mail program (Mac Mail, Entourage), it has to be configured to send/receive your email. Depending on who you have your email account with, I suggest going to your webmail first. If you are able to log into your webmaill without a problem, you may need to reconfigure your Mail account. Your webmail password will be the same as your Mail password to retrieve your email.

Try to login to your Webmail and see if you can login.

when I say Webmail, for example you have a hotmail account, try to login to by using Safari or any internet browser.

If you can't login to webmail, that means you're enterring the wrong password. But if you can login, most likely you have a corrupted account profile. Try recreating your account in Entourage.

Hope this helps.

Emails no longer come to Outlook but to internet provider (Cox)

Hi Martha,

When you logged in to webmail did it ask you to change your password? Does a box popup in Outlook asking you to change your password as soon as it opens?

If it does just enter your new password in the outlook window.

username: yourcoxusername
pass: your new webmail password

My email just keeps loading ,it wont let me open any pages

It could be there is one message still on the server that is hanging the download. Two questions:
1) What email program are you using? 2) Do you know how to check your e-mail using your Internet Service Provider's webmail access?
If you don't have an answer to 2), usually you take the part of your e-mail address after the @ and go to a web page with an address something like: (that would be the address if your email is, for example). Once there, you will be asked to enter your user name (the part before the @) or your full e-mail address, and your e-mail password.
That way, you can quit your e-mail program so the messages stop loading, and then instead look at all your messages online.
If you see one that looks like spam, or that has a huge file attachment, or that just looks odd, consider deleting it (you can always drag it out of the trash later).
If there is a bad message, it will usually be the next message online after the last message your email program was able to download.
So, give that a shot, and see if it clears up the e-mail loading issue. If not, or if this doesn't make sense, send a comment and I'll answer any questions you have then.
All best, cordwainer

I am not able to send emails today. I use Outlook Express and although I have not changed any settings and everything has worked in the past - today I can receive but not send?

Being able to send but cannot receive means that you cannot connect to your SMTP (simple mail transfer protocol) server. SMTP is used by Outlook in sending out emails.

Your outgoing mailserver is defined in your settings so to check if you can connect to its SMTP, you need to open a command prompt and type:

telnet you-mailserver-here 25

It should give you a new command prompt with a welcoming SMTP above. If it gave your a request connection failed, then most probably the smtp service is down.

Does your email has a Webmail interface? IF yes, try to send out your emails thru webmail temporarily until SMTP service port 25 is up. It is also advised that you inform your email administrator or service provider about this.

For further clarifications, please dont hesitate to ask me.

Received e-mail has stuck during download

Quickest and best solution is to your your ISP's webmail to delete the email causing the problem. (or move it somewhere else so it won't be downloaded).

You haven't given any detail about who your provider is, so i'll just give you an example.

If you were an Optus cable internet customer in Australia, you could go to and log in there. You'll need to find your ISP's webmail URL on their website (or call them), then you can read and delete the email that's causing your hangups... the rest of them will come down after that.
