How do you flash a Coleman Powermate 3500 generator? Runs fine; no electrical output

See some of my responses to other peoples generator problems.
If you have no or very little electrical output, then you have overloaded the generator by placing a demand for too many amps from too many appliances for the size of the generator. You will have blown a capacitor, resistor, or similar item. Someone with a good electrical background will need to diagnose the problem and find the blown part.

NEW NEVER USED 5 YEARS OLD. NEVER STARTED. HOW TO PROCEED. CAN'T FIND INSTRUCTIONS. PLEASE HELP. THANKS IN ADVANCE !

Here is a good place to start learning about your generator. After sitting for so long I would start with with a couple of gallons of premium fuel (regular is recommended but since yours has been setting, you may need the extra punch. ). Good luck

Coleman mach fan runs fine but A/C hums intermittently like it wants to start but won't. I'm running it with a Honda 2000 generator. Generator ran out of gas, when I restarted the generator the A/C would...

The issue with the generator that gets low and high when it start running out of gas that effect the A/C and result of high voltage getting to the unit and burn the capacitors and it should by saved by the fuse make sure that the gen not run out of gas if you have the A/C on and that the fuse is the correct one for the A/C and again check the air and see you may got a bad capacitor.
....let me know if that work for you and please do not forget to rate my service so I am able to continue providing same...god bless

How much generator do I need?

On average, a rooftop unit with pull 14 to 16 amps depending on the ambient temperature. I am not sure how big your microwave is but we will assume 1000W. The TV really doesn't pull that much. So, you have 16 amps at the Air Conditioner, 8.5 Amps at the Microwave and we will say 5 amps at the TV. Lets not forgot the converter for the coach which pulls 3 to 5 amps on average. Add all of these amps together and you have 34.5 on the high end. To get the size Wattage of generator needed to run 34.5 amps, you take 34.5 and multiple it by the electricity source, in your case 120V. That means that you have 4,140 Watts of power to be used max. I think that with a 4000 watt generator, you will be fine. You may be able to go a little bit smaller if your microwave is not that large. To find the amps of the microwave that you have, take the wattage and divide it by 120. That will give the average amps that it pulls while running.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

COLEMAN MACH 3 MOUNTING ON INSIDE OF CAMPER NOT ALIGNING WITH MY

Did you purchase a new Ducted Ceiling Unit with the Upper Unit air conditioner? If you are replacing an older mach 3, the ducted ceiling packs are not compatible and you will need to purchase the ceiling pack as well. The ducted ceiling pack part number for the 8333 series Mach III AC is below.

1. Heat/Cool Air Distribution Box - 8330B735
2. Cool only ADB - 8330A733
3. Wall Thermostat (if needed) - 7330G3351

Hope this helps.

Jo_jet, this should power most everything except A/C or heat. Most regular sized homes do not fun more than that constantly.

Coleman tsr mach 3 RV Air Conditioner

the fan motor bearings need lub....the shaft has a tiny access hole to put some oil into. because the fan shaft is slowing down, it is putting more strain on the voltage current, and eventually the internal breaker shuts down the ac........plus your condenser is not getting enough air accross it, compressor heats up, and it too will shut the unit down......older units have to be oiled every year, and eventually it too will fail, and a new blower motor assembly is needed or replace the ac unit.....blower motor units are around $130....now you install it or pay to have it done at around another $150 labor,,,,,try yourself, if it fails then call the tech........let me know ..ray..yyzazz@ao.com
