I adjust it with the buttons on the monitor and then it is ok, but when I restart my computer I have to adjust it again there is no place to click apply so it will stay like I want it. Im doing this for a friend I told her to get a big monitor like mine I have a 24inch one no problem.hope you can help us

via on screen menu. They are push buttons on the monitor to move the black lines. I get it just right, but as soon as i restart the computer it go's right back to the same black lines. I'm losing about 3 inches from side to side and 2 inches up and down.

Hi there.

What exactly is the problem?

If you need to adjust the screen, right-click anywhere on the desktop and then click properties, you can then adjust screen settings.

Hope that helps. If not, describe the problem you are having, and I'll do my best to help.

Ok, you can try changing the resolution via the display settings. Or another thing you could try, is changing the refresh rate for the monitor, advanced settings in the display settings.

The controls you are using to move the black lines, are they via an on-screen menu (on the monitor), or like knob controls (which you turn)?

Ok, that means the monitor is resetting each time it turns off/on. Either, the settings aren't being saved properly, or the monitor is faulty

My LG 17" CRT monitor , screen is blinking rapidly with slightly dark shadow. pl. help

If it is an older monitor, this may just be a sign of aging. It is possible that the adjustment knobs and buttons on the front, bottom, or side of the monitor may have been moved. Try adjusting those to see if you can tone out the problem. Also check to make sure the monitor cable is secure to both the monitor and the computer. You may also try plugging the monitor's power cable into a different outlet. Finally, you could try adjusting your video properties in Windows, but that's probably not the problem unless you have been in there before.
