Do you mean remove the hose from the water tap or where it connets to the washer? I did try the water tap and that didn't help. Thanks for the help.

  • epark-sito Apr 23, 2009

Thank you for your response. I'm sure you have cured my problem. I will need to wait for some help moving the washer out in order to clean the screen as I can not move it myself. This is a wonderful service.

Turn off the cold water valve.
Remove the cold water hose from the washer. Clean out the filter screen on the water valve. Replace the hose and run the washer.

Did you not try this solution?

If you did it would have fixed your problem.

From the WASHER, not the water tap. There is a screen in the washer valve that is clogged.

How long does it take to complete a wash cycle

Hello,

In a perfectly normal washer with decent incoming water pressure it should take 3-5 minutes to fill depending on water level size selected.

If what your experiencing is that your washer does fill yet it takes forever the problem is going to be with the water inlet valve.

Kenmore 90 Plus Series washer washer takes forever

is the cold water all the way on?

if so, the first thing to do would be to check the screens in the cold water fill hose and the screen in the cold side of the water valve on the back of the machine. if that is not the problem then replace the water valve.

(turn the water off before taking the hose loose)

Problem: the cold water just dribbles out when filling the tank and it takes forever to fill the tub.no problem with the hot water flow.

If you have water pressure to the cold inlet valve and the valve's filter is clear, you probably have a failed inlet valve...Replacing the cold valve should fix the problem..Not a big or expensive job..Good luck....Nomess

My kenmore washing machine takes forever to fill up

The screens on the hot and cold water ports on the back of the machine are clogged with dirt, assuming you have good water pressure coming to the washer. Turn off hot and cold water faucets, take hoses off at rear of washer (remember which one goes where). You will see a round screen inside the hot and cold ports. Remove them and clean. Sometimes if they are old you may need to buy new ones.

Kenmore 110 Top Load Washer-cold water fills extremely slowly

No it is probably the screen that is either in the end of the hose that attaches to the machine, and/or the screen is placed so that the cone is toward the machine instead of pointing away from the machine.
If the cone is pointing towards the machine any debris in the lines would collect and eventually fill the screen cone and slow or shut off water flow.

Low hot water pressure in old whirlpool washer forever to fill

If you have verified that it takes longer than 120 seconds to fill with water then you need to replace your inlet valve. You might be able to get away with just cleaning the screen but you should probably replace it. pn 8531670.
However it more likely you have a defective heater and the dishwasher is trying to obtain its optimum operating water temperature unsuccessfuly and thus stalling to heat water longer than it used to.

Yes remove the hose from where it connects to washer look inside water valve and remove plastic screen with needle nose pliers Without damaging it. Also make sure that it gets back in proper as the valve will be damaged without it.
