Try turning it back off. then unplug it from outlet. press and hold power button on TV for six seconds or so. Plug it back in and turn it on to see if that helped. Depleting power and memory can reset errors in today's electronics. Hope it helps

No power on

Hey cmdolfan,

Seems like the picture tube on the TV decided to go on you.

But it seems like the power itself is shot.

Try doing a hard rest on the TV (a lot of models have it where you unplug it for 4 hours), and then even try just pluggin it straight into the wall rather then the strip just to make sure.

If this doesn't work, then there really doesn't seem to be a lot more you could possibly do since it isn't getting power what so ever.

I would suggest contacting a local repair service.

Phillips 47PFL422D/37 I've had the tv about 6 years with no trouble. But now the picture is to dark to watch it also pulses. I've tried to unplug it and plug it back in I get a picture for

First, average life on these sets is about 3 to 4 years at best and only boards are sold so even if you can pin point the board (no individual parts are sold) it is likely if will not get fixed and doing so is a bad investment as all the boards are now old.

Panasonic CT34WX54J

You may have an issue if the set was shipped or even dropped---there is a metal screen inside the tube called a shadow mask--dropped and can be damaged----

If set was just sitting and this happened the set has a built in degaussing coil--sometimes the solder connection to the posistor that turns it on/off breaks loose.

It is a small rectangular black part very near where the fuse and cord connect inside the set---if someone gains access to the bottom of the board where it is---three pins in a triangle pattern---even one broken loose will cause the unit to not degauss fully the face of that picture tube----it does it every single time set is first turned on and if cuts off too soon a rainbow like picture is the result.

Can someone help me out i have a olevia LT32hvm tv where the picture freezes and picture gets blurry

The symptoms you've described is fault from the video processor on the mainboard.

Unplug the unit from the outlet overnight and then plug back in and check if the symptoms still persist, yes, then you have to replaced the Mainboard.

My Tristar TV signal booster has a red light illuminated, I think is says 'short' above it. Is the booster working? I have fault on my TV it maybe this. The booster has been working fine up till...

I too have a red "short" light on my Tristar booster. However- I've illiminated the Tristar as I unplugged it and connected my tv directly to the 13amp mains and b) connected the aerial directly to the aerial wall socket which is separately boosted from a distribution amplifier box in the loft. Picture was U/S so the "short" is probably in my cabling in the loft (I've been moving the aerial about lately).Hence I suggest initially to unplug the Tristar and check the fault is not back further up the line ie the cable and booster at top of house. Hope that all makes before noticing the red "fault" light, my picture had gone to pot.

My tv did wrk and has sound but no picture

Your Emerson TVs LOT [Line Output Transformer] has damaged. It should be replaced with same type and number. Before replacing it, first repace the horizontal output tansistor. This transistor can be located very near to the LOT, screwed onto a metal heatsink, and a black three terminal component. Replace it first, and switch on your TV for a short time, say 3 to 5 seconds, switch it OFF, unplug it from the mains sullpy wall plug, and check the heat of the transistor, by touching it by bare fingers. It may be slight warm but not too hot. If it overheats, make sure that the LOT has damaged. OK.

TV only shows line across middle of screen.Still have audio.

Sounds like you have bad solder joints on the vertical ic which should be numbered IC501 on the board.also there are capastors that coud be going bad but i would look for bad solder joints on ic frist.
The capastors numbers on board are C502 / C516 also need to check R 483 which is a resistor.
resolder the ic if you know how to solder. That is a comon problem a lot of tvs out there have. The only thing is the tv has high voltage on it even if it is unpluged from the wall. Some of the capastors hold there voltage for a long time. Be sure and unplug tv before you try anything if you are going to do it yourself and stay away from the capastor in the AC line should be marked 200 V or moor.
