Power up your pod by holding the Power Key
1) it will show the USB pin and CD on the screen of your Itouch

My ipod wont turn on

Step 1: Try plugging your iPod into your computer for a few minutes. If it begins to charge, let it charge fully.
Step 2: Use your iPod as you normally would. If it needs to recharge very soon, it is a sign that your iPod's battery is dying.
Step 3: You have three choices:
  1. If it is less than a year since you have bought it, go to the Apple Store and they will replace it for free on the spot as part of their 1 year warranty
  2. If it is older, pay them a fee to fix it OR
  3. Bring your iPod with you, and buy a new one for 10% off.

My ipod touch has a crack in the middle of the screen, from top to bottom. What do i do to get another one from you guys, because I have 2 yr warranty plan for it.

If you have a 2 year warranty plan for it, then you should be able to get it replaced on the spot I believe. After all, I believe that is part of the 2 year warranty.

Sound coming through one earphone only

Headphone jack defect. Take it back to the Apple store and the Apple dorks will exchange out the unit for you if you under the 1 year warranty or if you bought an extra 2 year warranty.

My ipod went really hot and now wont turn on

Take it in and exchange it if its under the year warranty or you bought the extended warranty. Otherwise your screwed and this thing is in permanent paper weight mode.

My 2g ipod touch is bricked on the apple screen and i dont know what to do

Your ipod can go into paper weight or brick mode after dropping it or exposing it to moisture ie. water. Look down the headphone jack with a flash light and see if the little rectangular water sensor is white or pink. White means that your good and pink means the water sensor has been triggered and the unit has been exposed to excessive moisture. Here's the kicker- Apple's 1 year warranty does not cover water damage so your fu.kd. But if your still within your year warranty or you got an extended warranty, then just take the thing back to the Apple store and exchange it out if the water sensor is not pink.

Ipod touch dropped in coffee (not for long but was hot!)

look inside the headphone jack and if you see white, you're a-ok and should have an easy time getting a new one, but if you see red, you'll have a heck of a fight with apple about getting a replacement but you still should be able to get one because every ipod comes with a one year warranty that starts the day you buy it

Jack on headphones broke off in my iTouch

You might be able to get it looked at under warranty if it's less than a year old.
Otherwise, have a look at this:http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/First-Look/iPod/iPod-Touch You'll need some tools to do it, but they can be bought from the iFixIt site.
If it's jammed in there really badly you might need to replace the headphone jack itself, which may be part of the logic board. Could be a pretty expensive repair job if you choose to DIY. I'd definitely see if Apple will fix it either under warranty or for a fee. Much easier.
Anyway, iFixIt has all the parts for the iPod Touch here: http://www.ifixit.com/Products/Touch-1st-Gen/132
Good luck!
