Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook

Battery not charging

I'm actually having similar issues. Initially, my battery refused to charge and remained at 88%. Checked status, reported "Not Presenting". Now, even though my laptop is constantly plugged in, every day the charging goes down 1%. If I unplug my laptop, it immediately shuts off.

Your Battery is Done.

Get a New One!

(it might be cheap or free if you are still under warranty.....so check up on that, but I'm not sure)

Dell Studio 1558 warning battery cannot be charged (still at 100%)

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Acer Aspire 5532 battery replacement charged initially, now says it's charging but stays at 0%

If these were both batteries bought online, say eBay... you may have been shipped defective product.

If not, it sounds like the charging mechanism within the laptop is no longer re-charging your batteries. This will require a visit to your local computer repair shop most likely.

My LG RD 6100 is showing charging but it is not actually charging. After removing charger it is showing that recharge the battery

It is best to get the charger checked with another phone as to confirm the case. In some cases the low regulation within the phone can efffect the charging circuit.
Also cross check the battery as if the battery is weak or had been not charged initially properly then it seems a suspect.

If the phone was totally dead before it refused to charge initially, then the refusal to charge is due to the fact that there was no residual charge left to bring it to a charge, because the battery completely died.
To fix it, kick start the charging process.
Remove the battery, and using a universal charger (desktop charger) charge the battery for say 10 minutes, before re- inserting the battery to the phone and continuing with the normal charging process.
If this does not work out, then problem is with the charging port. It has to be replaced. This can be done by nearby local phone repairers.
Hope it helps?
Success.

Try loading the latest Operating System files from Motorola. If that doesn't help you can try getting a new battery. If that doesn't work it will need to go to repair.

Power problems Inspirion 8600-battery not charging

Most Dell batteries have an LED indicator that allows users to see how much run time and how much overall battery life are available at the touch of a button.
To check battery charge, press the button and the number of lights that appear will tell you charge status. If all lights appear, you have a fully charged battery. Each light that appears accounts for approximately 20% charge.
To check the battery health, press and hold the status button on the battery charge gauge for at least 3 seconds. If no lights appear, the battery is in good condition and approximately more than 80 percent of its original charge capacity remains. Each light represents incremental degradation. If five lights appear, approximately less than 60 percent of the charge capacity remains, and you should consider replacing the battery
if the ac adapter will power the laptop without the battery installed its fine. if the cord is fine and your battery is fine its a mother board issue and it will most likely have to be replaced
