Most problems are due do a fouled carb, because of old fuel most of the time, take the carb off and separate it from the tank and give it a good cleaning and replace with new gaskets and carb parts, use carb clean and air pressure to clean,

Mantis tiller Idles fine, and can even rev... sometimes, but has no power.

check the diaphragm in the carburetor making sure it isn't stiff. depending on how long it has sat, the carburetor may need a cleaning and kit then readjust it to get it to run. Mantis tillers are very temperamental and can be difficult to get to run again even for experienced technicians

How do you clean carburetor in statesman tiller? Tiller has been sitting for about a year and there is rust in gas tank as well.

take the carb off and take it apart then clean it with some thing flamable so it burn off with the gas.

Does not reve up engine with trottle cable

The troy bilt tiller is designed so that the engine revs up when the tiller starts to dig. If it is running just start tilling and the engine will rev as it needs to. If it won't start, get back as I can assist you with that.
