Trying To self Repair SoundStorm 700.2, Replaced Parts and still having problems

I recently acuired this amp from a friend because it was broken and he did not want it. it had already been opened up and i could see 5 resistors were very well darkened and 2 ceramic disk capacitors were burnt as well. the 5 capacitors seemed to be from the left or the right channel. well i replaced all the resistors and ceramic disk capacitors. and put the board back in its case. when i try to connect the Positive wire, Then the Negative, The negative wire will spark as soon as it touch the screw. ( and this is without the remote wire or anything else hooked up) or if i coonect the negative wire to the amp, then the + 2nd i also get sparke and it seems like the negative i hooked up came close to welding itself to the connection. Help?

The power transistors are shorted out and must be replaced. If you contact JL they will fix it for a flat rate. That amp is well worth it.

1997 ford taursus fromt end is very low to the ground

Do you know what height the front end was when you
purchased the car?

Was any work recently done at a repair shop?

That is not a question that can be answered from here

There are reasons for everything in life & you know that a
car doesn't just lower it's self ,something had to change

To be even slightly noticeable it had to happen pretty much
all at one time & be put there by some one

You won't likely have two broken springs or maybe not even one

When you ask for an opinion, get under the car & do all the inspection you can do & have a repair shop weigh in,then ask
IF someone on the internet agrees with a dealer or auto pro's
guess or findings.

That simply is not something you basically ever see,so it
should be obvious to a knowledgeable person once you look
over the car

You input is the answer

You either bought it that way or someone worked on it that
should not be in the repair business

What is close to the ground?

A loose piece of plastic?

Some suspension parts are broken?

The wrong parts being installed would be a possible

A mall or highway shop attempting to align it & not knowing
how to check & correct ride height first

Film Advance won't work on Minolta X-700

changing the batteries have no effect on film transport, just a coincidence. take the bottom cover off and check the white plastic gear on the film take up side of the camera. if it is broken your X700 may not be repairable as no new parts are available.
push the re-wind button in and try to charge the shutter again. remove film first. if it still just goes part way then a gear is stripped. try to find a camera repair shop that may have good used parts available.

Aux input on Soundstorm amp

If the amplifiers have RCA jacks, you can use an adapter cable to go from the headphone jack to the RCA inputs on the amp. If you're in the U.S., Radio Shack will likely have what you need.

I dont know how many watzz is my amP!

200 X 4 does mean 200 watts times 4 channels. In other words each channel pushes out 200 watts. I believe u have a total output power of 800 watts but check with ur manual and if u do use that much power make sure you check for overheating, specially if its used for bass. Soundstorm amps cant take much of a beating so be careful.

Soundstorm 1600 Watt Car Amp

Disconnect all speaker wires and signal cables from the amp. If it powers up, the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down, the amp likely has blown output transistors.
