Question about Dell Wireless 2350 Router
Any computer I hardwire into my Dell 2350 works just fine. But, when I try to connect my laptop to the 2350 wirelessly, it usually (not always) gets stuck at the stage where it gets a network address. The Wireless Network Connection Status window says "This problem occurred because the network did not assign a network address to the computer". And it says I have "...limited or no connectivity" (I have none). Thanks for any help !
Are you using any encryption on the wireless side? If so, and you incorrectly type the password, that would happen. You may also want to try updating the firmware on that router. From what I was able to find, this appears to be the latest available: http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R96135&formatcnt=1&libid=0&fileid=125402 It's also possible that the wireless interface on that router is starting to go. Especially since you said the directly wired connections work fine. The wireless interface would be separate from the Ethernet, so it's possible for that to be dying out while the other is still ok. That does appear to be a slightly older model router, so if it came down to it you could think about replacing it for something newer.
