Inadequate Picture Quality

The picture seems to be good when I watch TV or DVDs but I lose quality when I switch to VGA mode for my computer. Can you suggest any solutions? Are there drivers I need to load. Does the color profule need to be installed? HELP!

This my be a problem with your video card drivers or the card itself. Try updating the drivers for both the video card and the drivers for the television at their websites. Also check all your cables to make sure the connections are good and the cables are working fine. Try using contact cleaner and a small brush to clean the contacts on the cables and connections. Spay solution on the brush and only clean the connections when the units are turn off to avoid shorting out the connectors. Allow a period of time for the contact cleaner to dry before reconnecting to the units . If all this fails, contact customer service for help with you problem. Hope this helps you with your problem.

I accidently took a picture with my coolpix s4100 in vga mode. Can I change the setting because the picture prints bad in VGA mode.

Of course you can.
Just go to the menu and find the setting for 'Quality' or 'Resolution'. Increase it for better quality.

You have probably found out now that you would need to get your digital reception by connecting a set top box to the LG, say to AV1, then select AV1 when making a recording.

Hi,

Is it a Duplicate Question....Wonder why?

This is an internal Fault. Diagnosis is required to make sure whether it is Failed T Con Board or Light Engine. I do not think that it would really help by changing the TV settings. This was a Common Problem with Old LCD's where you got Blurry Spots specially while Playing Real Fast Movies or Games. On Few Occasions, it as Corrupted Firmware.

As i cannot see the Video or Screen from here, more likely what i could guess it is an Internal Fault as you have tried using HDMI, Use different Setting Combination's and you got the same Picture Quality with DVD as well.

So, what i could suggest, get back to the Seller and Lodge an Official Complain and get it Replaced. There is no point in Opening and TV and Inspecting it and Replacing Components when it was less than a month ago.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

How can I connect my notebook to my TV

In order to display PC video on a TV the PC must have a TV-OUT function and interface, or you need a VGA to TV converter box.
If your PC has TV-OUT functionality, your user manual will tell you this. If you have, Google "Display PC on TV" and you should find some good articles on how to connect the PC to the TV, and how to change the settings on the PC. NB. even if your PC supports TV-OUT, you may still need to buy a converter cable (but not a box).
If no TV-OUT functionality, E-Bay lists some converter boxes from about £15. NB. the much cheaper cables only work on PCs with TV-OUT functionality.

In adequate picture quality

Try Upgrading the drivers for your video card.

also you may need a better video card for larger lcd displays/tvs, etc....

Get at least a 512mb Nvidia Video PCIexpress card.

That'll do it!...

also check your display settings and color settings first.

LG picture quality

not true about the 200 hour thing, and the pic qualith can be a couple of things, if you have a cable box, it can be caused by a week signal, or a loose connection, if the cable is just going from the wall to the tv, you may want to reprogram the chanels

Samsung le40a lcd - picture quality

Hi - I have some suggestions. The following factors effect picture quality:
1. Source (because LCD TVs have much higher picture quality than traditional CRT "Tube" TVs, the worse your source material, the worse it looks on a LCD TV).
DVD and Sky/Digital TV should look excellent on this TV when connected with a good quality Scart lead (nothing too expensive, but a Oxygen Free Copper Gold lead may help) directly into one of the TV's Scart inputs (avoid using "switching" boxes for multiple equipment).
Also, bear in mind that this is a HUGE screen (40 inches I think) and will REALLY show up bad source material.
The best advice I can give is, if you have HD-ready equipment use HDMI connections for everything (ideally with an HD-uplscaling DVD player which will "improve" the quality of standard DVDs on the TV - I recommend models by Philips) and check that you are in "Movie" or "Cinema" mode on the TV.
Make sure that all of your equipment, like your Sky digibox, is set to 16:9 mode (not 4:3) aswell to preserve the true widescreen aspect ratio.
Hope that helps!
