Text messages from phone to computer

I need an answer ASAP! Please! I have to get several text messages from my RAZR V3 to my computer right away - but when I tried to forward a rather long message from the text screen I got an error mesg that it could not send because it had invalid pdu content (?) So I tried to forward it from the list of numbers that had sent the text and that error mesg said the mesg was too long and it would shorten it for me -- I have to have the entire message. Can somebody help me? Thanks! Mary

Dck2's solution worked for me on my razr, I opened the text message, went to "copy all text", went to "Create Message", chose "New Multimedia Message," went to "Paste," and then sent it to my email address, and the entire message went to email, including the date.

I have similar issues with a Nokia 6126 (Cingular / AT&T).

Not only that, but only a portion of the message gets delivered even with the following workaround:

Wade through your menus to send it as a multimedia message.

If you're getting "Contact Service Provider" error message, then you simply need to leave the phone on with a SIM card on it for about 8-12hrs. This should reset the unlock counter of the phone. Unlock Motorola RAZR V3

Downloading text msgs

My suggestion is to get a data cable for your phone, this will plug into your razr's charging port on one end and connects to the pc via usb on the othjer end of the cable. Catalog #1701083 $19.97 at your local radioshack, includes software aswell, Probably can also be purchased at your wireless carriers store. Good Luck

Text message transfer

yes you can do it. Do you have the cd that came with the phone? if you do install the phone tools and get the phone connected to your pc once that is done run the app phone tools you will see a pic of a v3 on the bottom right of your desktop click on the menu button on the v3 image on your desktop highlight receive then highlight inbox then another screen will appear at the top menu bar of that screen you will see a button saying send/receive click on that and then click retrieve sms all your msgs from your phone will appear on the screen then you can highlight and right click and choose to save all your msgs on a file on the pc...if you do not have the cd that came with your phone you can download the v3 phonetools from here

Have motorola razr V3, how do I transfer text messages to sim rea

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If you have Motorola phone tools installed in your system, then you can directly copy the messages from the phone to your Computer. And, if you are unable to see the messages through the SIM card reader then the messages would be in the phone and not SIM.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee
