If you just bought this device i recommend taking it back and getting a replacement model. place your hand on it tho and if its on you should feel a very faint hummm.. if not its fuse or components are blown. and warranty is your only option! good luck.

Plugged in cord, and computer went black

Remove the main battery and power up, if no change! have the power supply tested, if okay! sub out the ram memory one at a time and test, if no! the DC jack in the laptop do cause issues, at this level I recommend a tecnnician to get to the bottom of this.

Won't turn on

I had a similar problem with my Creative Zen V+ (8Mb) when the battery went. What worked for me might work for you:

- Plug it in and leave it on charge for a couple of days.
- Reset
- Power on.

The key thing seemed to be to get power in before trying to get it up and running.

I have used this tactic the other way around when it froze - leave it to power down for a couple of days, then recharge, then reset and power up.

So far, the Zen V+ has proved extremely resilient!

By pressing Menu and the centre button together the iPod was reset. I got this solution on Google.

Computer won't turn on.....

Try taking the battery out and leaving the laptop sit then put it back in and try turning it on, if this fails take the battery out and leave sit replace and plug it it and try powering it up then repeat all but leave the battery out.

It may also be a loose connection within the laptop, if it feel or something may of shorted, in desktops reseting the cmos or jumping the computer can help start a dead machine

let me know how you get on (i dont have any faith in the system it worked once out of 1000 for me)

No power or lights

"If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."

Dead laptop

Check the ac adapter is the proper one for that laptop. Check the power jack is not damaged or loose. let laptop site without battery or power for a few hours. remove battery and retry power. try another ac adapter if that doesn't work, you may have a reset button but not likely to solve the problem. sounds like motherboard is damaged, or something blew.
