Check out the manual it needs a little setting up I guess. There should be a more comprehensive manual on the CD in PDF format.

My camera says my memory card is write protected. What does that mean and how do I turn it off?

Remove you SD card from its slot and look at the card. With the card's label facing you and the angled corner to the top right, look on the left edge of the card and you will see a very small slide switch and the label will probably have the word "lock" printed on it. Slide the switch upward toward the top edge of the card and the memory will work. This is called a write protect feature and it is designed to prevent you from accidentally erasing your important pictures.

I have a Nikon D60 and I just started having an issue with it. When I take pictures indoors on auto (or any setting) the pics turn out fine. The issue is when I take it outdoors. Every picture is...

A good solution is from the main overview screen, press the button in the very bottom left-hand corner. From there, you can manually adjust the exposure of all pictures taken. Try turning it down until the pictures look normal. Another thing to try is to lower the ISO, which can also be controlled from the same menu, or from the settings in the camera. The max is 1600, with the lowest being 100.

Nikon Coolpix p80 blacked out, rounded corners

Have you attached some sort of lens shade to the front of the lens? The vibration might have something to do with the shake reduction system but I can't be sure. It certainly shouldn't vibrate heavily. You might get a better answer if you e-mail the tech guys at the support section of the Nikon website.
