I can only tell you that, after, trying all the other solutions, I got one of my husband's white handkerchiefs and a bottle of rubbing alcohol. I unplugged the machine and cleaned every roller I could find, including the paper tray, the back, the front, and on the drum. Magic--it's fixed.

I had a paper jam. I followed the instructions in the manual and removed the jammed paper. Afterwards the "Paper Jam" alert still remained on the display and I was not able to print. I turned the unit off for 15 minutes. I powered it back on and the "Paper Jam" alert went away and unit is working again. Hope this works for you as well!

Try adjusting your paper tray. If you have the tray that adjusts from legal to letter it sometimes gets wiggled to some place inbetween. Just push it back into the letter position.

Paper jam errror in canon ip2680 printer

Paper jams are quite a common problem faced by printer users.

Shutting off the printer and later restarting it can also cause the cartridge to move thus resulting in the tearing of your paper. Hence it is highly recommended that, in case of a paper jam, you leave your printer and computer on.

To remove a paper that's jammed, simply turn your printer around and look for the rear access door. This is mostly covered by a longish, horizontal flap that can be flipped open. You will find the jammed paper the moment you open the door. Some legacy printers have a rotating knob that turns the rollers so as to remove the jammed paper to the rear. This looks quite similar to the knob you find on a typewriter. However, newer printers don't have such knobs anymore. You will find the jammed paper placed in the back of the printer. Gently pull it out without affecting the rollers or touching any of the internal machinery. Avoid pulling the paper out with too much force. The paper should smoothly slide out. If it doesn't or if it is torn in many smaller parts then it means that the paper has been crushed. If this is the case then use a brush to gently move the paper that's caught in the rollers. The brush can also be used to clear away the smaller scraps of paper that are scattered in the innards of the printer. Make sure that you avoid touching the roller and the inner components while doing so.

Approx. one third of A4 sheet jammed but can't be seen

Hi:
Your printer has a rear access door which can be removed by a rotating knob that is recessed . Rotate the knob counter clockwise, and the rear access door will pull out. You should then be able to get at the jammed paper. Reinstall the the access door and you should be good to go.

Paper Jam - HP G85 Ink Jet Printer

You open the door from the back of the printer (turn the knobs) and the paper can be removed from the back. After removing paper jam, replace the door. It is a long door as wide and the printer, but about 2 1/2" wide.

look on the control panel if there is a diagram of your printer it will usually light up the area where the paper jam is located.

once you find location of paper jam there is normally a green knob in the area of jam that when you manually rotate it will release paper also open paper drawer check for jam or unplug and plug copier back in somtimes this will force paper out as it resets

Paper Jam

I have exactly the same printer, here's how to remove jammed paper.
1. Unplug printer from mains and your computer. 2. Turn Printer around 3. There is a darker-grey panel with a knob in the middle of it. Turn the knob anti-clockwise to release the panel 4. The jammed paper should loop around the roller. Gently pull on the loop slowly until it has released fully. 5. Put the panel back on the printer and turn knob anti-clockwise to lock it into place.
Hope this helps.
