Sounds like the constant 12v supply is missing - blown fuse? or the wires are reversed. The constant is for memory functions, key-accessory for everything else.

Hi my Honda CR-V 97 not enough power to hold memory and clock wont hold time ether and resets ever time I restart the car yours very confused

The stereo should have two 12v wires; one is switched power and the other is always on 12v power.

The memory needs always on power since there is no internal battery to remember presets.

A true short circuit will cause fuses to blow - so if you've got a short, begin by checking to see which of the fuses are bad. Even with the ignition key turned off, your Aspencade has a small current draw from the clock and radio station memory - so voltage between ground and the negative battery terminal is no cause for concern.

When it is cold out you will need to use the choke more to get them to start. This is normal on almost all carberated bike's. Also crack the throtle just a bit with the choke on when starting.
