Stereo problem I have a 2000 Honda Goldwing GL 1500A. Clock doesn't hold memory as well as amfm stations don't hold memory/reset on each start. Cannot get tape player door open.
Sounds like the constant 12v supply is missing - blown fuse? or the wires are reversed. The constant is for memory functions, key-accessory for everything else.

A true short circuit will cause fuses to blow - so if you've got a short, begin by checking to see which of the fuses are bad. Even with the ignition key turned off, your Aspencade has a small current draw from the clock and radio station memory - so voltage between ground and the negative battery terminal is no cause for concern.
When it is cold out you will need to use the choke more to get them to start. This is normal on almost all carberated bike's. Also crack the throtle just a bit with the choke on when starting.
