Have futura 200. Was embroidering a design and beep beep. The arm froze. I have turned machine off, computer off. Don't know what else to do. Have had in the shop 4 times in 4 years! Could of bought a new machine after all i have put into it! HELP!!
Same problem with my new xl 420. Broke thread message, even if it didn't break, and bird nests. I would cry over these problems, but think I have it figured out. Watch threading machine video...Plus, hold onto ends of both threads until you sew a little. Be sure to thread machine with foot up, then lower, gently pull thread, making sure it goes through the tension spring. Feel to see if it has a tension on it. plus, I bought a table top thread stand ( only $4.50) and put my thread on this, and it helps thread go thru easier. plus, lower tension below the E, down to maybe even 1. I now put 2 layers of stabilizer on all fabric that is stretches, like t-shirts. With these changes, no more tears! Good luck, Jeannell Allday
I had the same problem, go head with machine off and embroidery unit off also turn wheel toward you. If it still won't go try winding a bobbin that is what happened with mine it seemed to undo the stiffness. You can also take the cap off the wheel and make sure there is no thread wound around it.
Good luck if this does not work there are other tips but it would take all night to email all the steps.
