I would have to have more information on exactly the kind of downloads you are attempting, before I would state my suspicions.

How to update your xbox360

The easiest way to update your console software is to connect to Xbox LIVE. To update your console by using Xbox LIVE, all you need is an Internet connection.
  1. Connect your Xbox 360 console to the Internet. To learn how, please see Connecting to Xbox LIVE.
  2. On the console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
  3. Select Network Settings.
  4. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.
  5. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.
If you cannot connect your Xbox 360 console to the Internet, you can copy the console update from your computer to a USB flash drive and then install it on the console.
Note: The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system.
  1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
  2. Download the update file.
  3. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.
  4. Unzip the file. If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
  5. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your flash drive.
  6. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.
  7. Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.
  8. Restart the console.
  9. When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.

You can update your Xbox 360 console software by downloading the update to your computer from Xbox.com, burning the update to a CD or DVD, and then installing the update on your console. Here's how:
  1. On your computer, download the update file.
  2. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.
  3. Unzip the file. If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
    • If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
    • If you are using an earlier version of Microsoft Windows, you need to use a special software program to unzip the file (for example, WinZip).
  4. Insert a blank, writeable CD or DVD into your computer.
  5. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory on your CD or DVD, and choose to write (burn) the files to the disc.
  6. Once the files have been burned to disc, remove that disc from your computer and insert it into the disc drive on your Xbox 360 console.
  7. Restart the console.
  8. When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.

I am operating window xp on my laptop... because only xp can support some special type of software ... But it needs drivers of xp... where i can get the graphic and sound driver.......... pls tell me...

Hi,

I believe you downgraded the Operating System from Windows 7. If that so, Lenovo Warranty support will no longer support the Operating System that you install on that computer. There will be a possibility also that the Operating System that you install will not be compatible with the machine itself. This is the exact link where you can dowload the drivers for you machine not only for the graphic and sound driver but all the drivers designated for the machine with Windows XP Operating System -

http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/ot/en/DriversDownLoads/APR_Driver_List.aspx?CategoryID=67873&OS=Windows%20XP

1. Download the video driver.

2. Restart the laptop.

3. Download the sound driver.

4. Restart the laptop.

You will need to restart the laptop for each and every driver that you will install for the changes to take effect

I hope this information will be helpful. Thank you for using FixYa...

Whenever i start to dowload any file from internet it restarts my Windows XP. Therefore i am never able to download anything. i am using ie6 and opera 9.6.

For starters, purge your browser cache and right click the IE icon and see if you can start it without add-ons...(I don't remember if that was available back then.) If so, I would update it to IE7 at the first opportunity, at least. If you go to windows update will it download and install your updates?
This behavior may be an indication of malware installed on your system...If you have access to another internet connected computer I recommend you go to www.malwarebytes.com and download and install their anti-malware software and run a quick scan of your system. Fix any problems it detects.
Also available is MS's troubleshooter for IE available by clicking here
Report back with your findings and we'll take it from there...

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

How to change window xp to vista???

he differences between Windows Vista and Windows XP are the start menu, the icon and screensaver. Therefore, you have to change the appearanceof these features. At first, you have to download a few software. Theyall are free. These software will help you to change your computer'sappearance from XP to Vista. After the transition, you can only find afew differences. Here is the list of software that you need. Click tofollow the link of each software.

Vista Start Menu

Vista Screensaver Ported to XP

Folder Icon Changer

After downloading, you can start with your changing process. There are three steps:

Step1: At first, download and install Vista Start Menu. It is only about1MB. Besides changing your start menu to Vista style, this softwarehelps to set up hotkeys for shut down and restart. You can also changethe font size in start menu.

Step 2: Now, download VistaScreensaver zipped folder. In Windows Vista, there are four differentscreensaver styles: Aurora, Bubbles, Mystify and Ribbons. To use thesescreensavers, you have to unzip the downloaded folder (file type is.scr) to C:WindowsSystem32 in your Window XP system. Right click onyour desktop and choose "Properties". Choose "Screensaver" tab. Pickyour Vista screensaver and click OK. You can also check file *.txtenclosed in the zipped folder to know how to make your screensaver workas you want.

Continuous restarting with winxp

On computers that contain Windows 98 and Windows XP: ? Windows 98 must be installed on a basic disk on a partition formatted with FAT or FAT32. If Windows 98 or Windows Me is not installed on the system partition, which is almost always the first partition on the disk, the system partition must also be formatted with FAT or FAT32. ? Compressed DriveSpace or DoubleSpace volumes won't be available while you are running Windows XP. It is not necessary to uncompress DriveSpace or DoubleSpace volumes that you will access only with Windows 98. ? Windows XP must be installed last. Otherwise important files needed for starting Windows XP could be overwritten
