Nobilis laptop overheat?

I have a Nobilis laptop and the other day it just turned off right after plugging in the power cord. the light on the power cord box flashed green and went dim. Then unfortunatly I smelled hot plastic. Is the laptop fixable or just a new bookend?

Was the smell coming from the laptop or the adapter?
Did you feel the heat coming from the laptop or the adapter?

Nobilis Has HEAPS OF PROBLEMS! take it to an expert computer shop and they will fix it.
