Sounds like you hooked up the input to the UPS on the bypass. Either way either way your input is not there. Also make sure you configure the UPS prior to placing online.

SOURCE: insufficient Runtime Available on Agent

If the UPS display is indicating runtime at 6 mins, and software is saying insufficient, seems like a communications issue. I'd try downloading the latest communication software for the UPS and reseating the communications cable at both ends, making sure no bent pins, etc. could be causing a comm glitch.

SOURCE: Silcon DP360, 3-phase 60kva, 400v,

#1. You should call APC Technical Support. It's free, and they will help you. You should get voltage even without a load on the unit.

#2. There is a Tripple-Slot unit for this device. It's specific for the Silcon based units. Read the manual, and there is a PN that you need for it. If it doesn't say SILCON, then it won't work. (I tried).

I have a Smart-UPS VT 10kVA that when goes to Mains out of range pass to bypass instead of battery, there is a way to setting the UPS to pass immediately to battery instead of passing to bypass first

The behavior of the Smart-UPS VT 10kVA in response to mains out of range can be configured using the PowerView software provided by APC (the manufacturer of the UPS). Here are the general steps to change the settings:
  1. Download and install the APC PowerView software from the APC website.
  2. Connect your computer to the UPS using a USB cable or network connection, depending on the interface available on your UPS model.
  3. Launch the PowerView software and establish communication with the UPS.
  4. Once connected, navigate to the UPS settings or configuration section within the software.
  5. Look for options related to the response to mains out of range or bypass operation.
  6. Adjust the settings to instruct the UPS to immediately switch to battery power when the mains voltage is out of range, instead of passing through bypass mode.
  7. Save the changes and exit the configuration settings.
  8. Disconnect your computer from the UPS.
It's important to note that the specific steps and options may vary depending on the version of the PowerView software and the firmware version of your UPS. Refer to the user manual or documentation provided by APC for detailed instructions and guidance on configuring the UPS settings.
If you are uncertain about making these changes yourself or require further assistance, it is recommended to contact APC's technical support or consult with a qualified APC technician who can guide you through the process and ensure the proper configuration of your UPS.

NO VOLTAGE ON YELLOW PHASE

what caused the UPS to transfer to Bypass? could be inverter fault, would you please check your battery set, maybe the input power is outside the tolerance and causing UPS to discharge the battery set , as well when battery set reaches the end of discharge it is causing the UPS to transfer to bypass and there is something missing on the input yellow Phase.
if the above is not true check the load type that is connected to the UPS output that is causing UPS to switch off in 10 minutes time.

Site wiring fault

Hi Viqtah, (<------ Clever!!)

If you hit the ESC key and get to the main menu there is a Setup submenu. In there you can change the line voltage values coming into the UPS. Sometimes a previous owner will change those values and cause the UPS to fault when properly connected. NOTE: A CERTIFIED ELECTRICIAN SHOULD VERIFY ALL CONNECTIONS ENSURE PROPER PHASE ROTATION.

Case 1: 220 V, 50Hz applied to s 3000 measuring the output as follows: 1- phase to ground 220 2- Phase to neutral 219 3- ground to neutral 1 volt Case 2 disconnct the input 220 V we have 1- phase...

Did you measure with a true RMS meter?
If yes,the results are normal, but your ground connection is not very good.
The case has 110v potential (exactly half of the input&output 220v) because of the input and output capacitor filters (a capacitor is conectet from phase to casis and an other from neutral to chasis, thus resulting a 1/2 voltage divider). Because of this, the earthing is necessary.

I have a UPS 1000 VA with 12 V X 2 Battery, Problems: when we on ups input 200 V without load, it gives output 210 V. when load it gives 230 V on electricity. When Electricity cut off it gives 250 V. When...

arif qc, Are you using a DMM that is or will make "true RMS" measurements or is it an "average responding" type of voltmeter? Is this APC ups designed for 120 vac input/output or is this unit a 220 vac input/output type? Use only a "TRUE RMS" type DMM to make your measurements!!! I believe if you visit Tripp-Lite site, you will find a tutorial video clip of why you should use a true-rms meter to make measurements of output voltages. 12fixlouie

"On Battery" Alarm Sounds when Power Available.

if this comes sometimes and goes, this means that the power to ups is sometimes deviating from the specific ups input range, hence the ups is rejecting it. mesure the input voltagesand frequency with a multimeter and check whether they match the specified ones in the ups manual. aslo with some ups there are switches that you use to set the input voltages or number of phases in the ups input. check the manual to see whetther your ups has such.
