Question about HP Pavilion Slimline S3123W Desktop PC - REFURBISHED
I bought this a year ago and about 6 months after. I started noticing that when i was doing something it would turn off without notice, no sound or anything. I thought it was maybe a one time thing then it started happening more regularly I bought a fan and took the cover off the tower because i thought it might be overheating but it still turns off every once in a while. The computer runs great but the shut downs are annoying.
If you know of what may be the problem or what i can do to fix it please help, I don't have a lot of money to spend but if i have to take it to a PC repair place it would be better if i had an idea of what the problem was.
You need to take off the fan to the cpu and blow out all the dust and dirt. removing the cover for better cooling is actually a bad thing to do.... with the cover on the fans will move air thru the computer to cool it... with no cover the air does not circulate for best cooling.
Please take a moment to rate this solution thanks
