On the 07 silverado smell comeing through the heat vent

If you're going through 1/2 gallon every few weeks - you've got a leak. Since you smell it from the heater vents - it may very well be the heater core ($$$) that is leaking. Usually, you'll notice that the windows will fog up heavily as the coolant is very hot / steamy once the engine has warmed up fully.

Look for coolant puddles under the truck to get an idea as to where it is leaking from. If closer to the front bumper - it's probably not the heater core - if closer to the firewall - it could be the heater core.

How do i clean my stainless steel krups coffee maker before use model kt 611d50

Just run one full pot of cold water through it. Do not add coffee. Then it is ready for use. Caution - Do not make coffee right away because you can break the glass carafe by adding cold water to a hot carafe. Also the hot plate would be very hot too.

Odd smell when plugged in. smells almost like a lubricant or diaper cream. we've cleaned and bleached everywhere we can. it doesn't smell unless it is running and it is not inside the refrige

in the freezer behind the back inside wall of the freezer there's an evaporator fan motor that could cause this if you were smelling this inside, there's also a condenser fan motor in the back bottom of the machine that blows when it's running, pull out the machine, remove the bottom back panel and check the fan motor to see if any oil is leaking out of the motor.

NordicTrackl c2300 model NTL12944 bad burning smell

Dear Sir:
You have 4 conditions when burning smell:
1) Very high belt/deckfriction.(Lack of lubrication by maintenance2) Short in the motor.(The same problem maintenance)3) Short in the wiringor electronics. You must have some skill in electricity or electronic or you can cal some service tech.4)Literally cooking the lacquer or cardboard core (on cheap machines) in themotor from belt friction or a drive system,The same lack of maintenance and lubrication.

And recommend that RUN the Calibration Software for easy diagnose and troubleshooting that coming with your treadmill, most of them the instruction step coming from the Hood of motor, and follow the instruction, or use your manual Ins.

sincerely. God bless you.

Hi switched my sewing machine on today and burming from piece that goes into machine smells like the motor.

Switch off the power and smell closer to the motor , is you feel the motor was running hot or is still heating up without a movement then it is possible that the motor is faulty.
Make sure there is no friction on the mechanism or the drive. If so remove motor and test on direct voltage to confirm if there is any issues with the switch.

Hi my washing machine has started to smell of rotten eggs its only 6 months old and dont no what the problem could be

Possible that the smell is coming from the motor/inlet valve/ pump or the capacitor of the motor. so it is important that you need to have a closer observation to find the source of the smell.
Sometimes it can also be due to drain block and so the dirt accumulation could be stinking. If so remove the drain and clean the hose and fitting , back flush the pump and reset.

Terrible smell coming from our washing machine

remove bottom cover at back of machine, loosen large jubilee clip on hose between drum and pump. pull hose down and off, take out strainer basket and pull top off, clean top, ball and basket by running under tap. clean out hose with an old rag. reassemble strainer and put back into hose, in the correct position. fix hose back on to drum and tighten clip. run machine on a hot wash and all should be fine.

Smell coming from inside washing machine. Not musty.

This is a fairly common problem that often arises when the majority of washes are done with cold water.

Do what is called a maintenance wash where you set the machine to run with hot water and maximum fill of water. Add one half cup of baking soda and let it run through it's entire cycle with absolutely no clothes in it.

After it completes its full cycle check for that bad odor. If it is fully gone wonderful. If it is half as bad do a second maintenance wash.

If the maintenance wash doesnt seem to help at alll get back to me and I will make another recommendation.
