Oversize picture from Liteon DVD Recorder
I cannot see the whole screen when viewing incoming pictures through my Liteon DVD recorder AV channel. The same applies to any DVD's played or recorded on this LVW 5005B recorder when played back. I have tried every permutation of aspect ratio on both the (Panasonic TX28PM1) TV and the DVD recorder to no avail. I lose the text regularly seen at the bottom of news programmes or subtitles. I suspect the picture is shifted down rather than uniformly expanded.

- I have a Samsung DVD-VR357 that loses information on the edges when set in 4:3 pan and scan. The other settings are 4:3 letterbox, which results in letterboxing; and 16:9, with the same results. Is there a way to reset the machine to record true 4:30 without any distortion, stretching or other picture manipulation?- trucolor
