Connecting DVD to Video 2 on TV

I am trying to connect a Mintek 2110 to the video 2 connections on a new Sanyo flat panel T.V. I have connect the red, green and blue properly to the DVD and the TV as well as the red and white audio. I have sound but no picture just ''no signal'' on my screen. I assume I have to set the DVD but don't have the manual for it. Could you tell me how?

How do I hook up my dvd/vcr to the tv

On the back of the cinavision you have two groups of sockets. The yellow socket under Video out is picture. Red and white is sound. Connect them to the TV's yellow red white sockets marked Video In 1. This connection will give you picture and sound from either the VCR or the DVD deck.

There's a better picture quality available for DVDs only from the Component video out sockets (green red blue). Next to them is another set of audio sockets (red white). Connect all five sockets to the TV's input number 2. The colours match up. The picture from Component will be clearer and sharper.

On your Sharp TV remote, select Video 1 to watch VCR, and Video 2 to watch DVDs.

Which channel do i put the tv on, and which do i put the dvd player on in order for them to work together? I have a sanyo flat screen tv and a sony dolby digital dvd player, and i don't know how to get...

You do not put your TV on any channel. DVD players need to connect to a TV with video cables and not a RF cable. This means 3 connection options on how your DVD player should connect to your TV. First, since your DVD player is NOT a bluray player, then HDMI connection is not needed. 2nd, the best choice would be component cables. These are the RED/GREEN/BLUE RCA connector that are on the back of your DVD player. They got into the input of your TV that has the RED/GREEN/BLUE RCA connectors. These are your video connector. Now, you need to connect the audio. Look for the RED/WHITE analog audio connectors out of your DVD player. Connector those to your AUDIO RED/WHITE input of the TV. Power on the DVD player and then power on your TV. Press the SOURCE or INPUT button on the remote for the TV until you see the DVD on the TV....The second option is the connect your DVD player up to your TV with composite video, YELLOW/RED/WHITE cable...

Connecting a wii system to a sanyo DP26648 tv

It has to do with the type of input - Video2 and 3 are Component video inputs, requiring a 3- wire component video cable (Red,blue,green for video, red/white below for audio). Video 1 is for analog equipment (Yellow for the video, red and white for the audio). Unless your Wii comes with a component video out cable and jacks (same red blue green), you'll have to use video 1 for the Wii, and use Video 2 for the dvd. You'll need a component video (3-wire) cable for your dvd, which should have the jacks for it. You can use the present cable you're using for the dvd, but you'll have to change the connections on the back of the dvd to component video out, and you'll still need another 2-wire cable to connect the audio out on the dvd to the audio in on Video 2 on the tv.

Here's the manual for your tv - look on page 8 for these connections. the Wii will be an analog connnection, the dvd will be a digital connection.

Sanyo TV

Hi,

If I understand your posting/description right, you have:
1, a Sanyo TV with only 1 video input;
2. you have a DVD player with only video output; and
3. you have a VCR (which I will assume to be with both video input and output).

Your query, if I may clarify, is how to hook them up so that you need not connect/disconnect any video cable when you want to switch video source from either DVD or VCR.

If that is what you want, then connect:
a. audio/video OUT of your DVD to audio/video IN of the VCR;
b. audio/video OUT of your VCR to audio/video IN of the TV.

The above described connection would allow you to:
i. watch DVD movies on your TV (your VCR must be powered ON and set to Video INput, your TV must be powered ON & set to Video INput);
ii. watch tape movies from your VCR without disconnecting/connecting cables.

Additionally, this arrangement would allow you to record DVD movies in your VCR. Further, connecting your cable/aerial to the RF INput of your VCR would allow you to do the same with a TV/Cable program.

Incidentally, if one of your units (TV, VCR, DVD) would only have a single audio input, it is still possible since some models uses the white audio RCA connector as either left or mono, the red is right. You can also use a 2 female RCA to 1 RCA male adapter as shown below to joint the red/white audio.

Hope this be of some idea/help. Pls post back how things turned out or should you require additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
