Wii will not turn on.

The wii will not turn on. It's like there is no power to it. I checked the power supply. It's pluged in and the wires are not pulled out of the supply at all. Do I need a whole new power supply?

i have the same problem, had it since Christmas played it maybe 10 times and I just brought a new game and it won't power on. I've checked all the connections and even tried different plugs in the house, and nothing, now what should I do?

I had the same problem. Red light wasn't on at all and system would not turn on. I tried what the other poster suggested--unplugged from BOTH ends for 2 minutes, replugged and BOOM red light is back on.

Previously, i'd tried unplugging each end separately and it didn't work. Thanks for the advice!

Unplug power from BOTH ends for 2 full minutes, then reconnect. Red light should be back, and it should work fine. Let me know!!!

Wii will not power on

Make sure the batteries are not dead in the controllers for turning it on.
Next, check all plugs on the console to make sure theyre pluged it all the way if any. Try it again, if it still doesnt work, check to see if your warranty expired yet. Most likely it hasnt. Next call nintendo for support and see if you may have to ship it in. Whatever is wrong with it right now, is nothing that cant be fixed or replaced.
You can also try using a different power adapter to see if thats the problem. If its not turning on, or no lights are, obviously not enough power is getting to the WII. Sometimes the fuse in the power adapters plug in can blow, check that and replace it if needed.

Wii power supply

To reset the AC adapter you need to unplug it from the wall outlet and the Wii console and wait at least two minutes. Plug it back in and it should come on. If you have it plugged in a surge protector with other appliances, the other appliances may be interrupting the adapter, causing the power to go off.
