I cannot turn my laptop on at all because the DC IN outlet, or a part connected to it, does not carry a charge to the computer or the battery. I need an alternative solution to changing the whole motherboard such as a docking station that allows me to charge my laptop's battery and power up my computer by using the outlet at the bottom of the computer. But Would a docking station solve my problem? and where can i can i find it? i searched on the internet and could not find it.

    i would appreciate your help,

Remove the battery and hook up the charger and try to boot it. If that works the battery is dead Otherwise the charger could be faulty or there is a problem with the motherboard

I can't get the laptop to turn on.

The likelihood of a bad battery and power supply at same time is very, very small. Something is seriously wrong with your motherboard - not a good thing sorry to say.

My Toshiba L455D-S5976 Laptop will not boot up? I cleaned the keyboard and now nothing please help! I wonder if the Cmos will stop it from booting up?

If the CMOS battery is dead that would be a issue. Reseat Memory Mods. I'm sure you removed ALL power when you cleaned the keyboard, Battery? AC? What did you clean with? Isopropyl Alcohol? Sound like something has shorted the Power/components.

I press the power button, and only flashes twice, nothing in the laptop turned on or starts

Try with the AC adaptor connected and plugged in. It may be a faulty battery or something more serious. Make sure the power light comes on when the charger is plugged in and switched on. In the evenit is still the same let me know.

Take out the battery and try running it on the power adaptor alone. If this works, you have a dead battery. If not there's something more serious wrong in the machine.

Toshiba Satellite A15-S129 PC Notebook will not turn on

I have the same problem. What I have found with mine is that if I can get the battery to take just a little charge then I can get it up and running. Here is how I do it. Disconnect AC power leave the battery in and start the laptop. As soon as thing start to run I plug the AC back in and it works fine from there on. Now mine is flashing as well now and I have a dead battery and it will not restart. Something I have noticed thought is it appears that the yellow light is blinking a code. This is what I have come up with. I appears to be flashing 323 as the code or could be 2 shorts 1 long then 2 shorts and then 3 shorts.

Anyone know where to find info on these flashing codes.

Dead laptop

Check the ac adapter is the proper one for that laptop. Check the power jack is not damaged or loose. let laptop site without battery or power for a few hours. remove battery and retry power. try another ac adapter if that doesn't work, you may have a reset button but not likely to solve the problem. sounds like motherboard is damaged, or something blew.

Old unit not powering on

Hold down the power button and push the reset button. Then select the corresponding cancel button (unless you want to loose everything. If that doesn't work, pull the battery and the backup battery. You will loose everything but it might bring it back to life.
