Problems initializing a upac-gm29 in a 2008 escalade

I'm troubleshooting an install in a 2007 escalade.

It is all stock with factory nav and rse.

A upac-gm29 was installed 3 months ago and has beeen working fine.

The customer cancelled the XM subscription and the upac quit as well.

I have performed the pac-instructed reset on the gm29, and reinitialized the unit with the car, but the factory head unit will onl display "XM Busy"

What do I do now?

Thanks
-scooter

The dvd is asking for a pass code, is there one>

no, That's a firmware issue. You'll have to take it to a Volvo repair shop and have them update the firmware. They should have received a DVD with an update program on it.

How to change out D1S HID headlight replacement 2007 Cadillac Escalade

open the hood of your Escalade, unscrew the mounting screws on the top of the headlight assembly

slide the headlight forward

unplug the electrical connector from the back of the head light

Turn the headlight counterclockwise and remove it from the housing assembly

Install the new HiD headlight, installation is the reverse of removal

hope this helps

Nissan Primera Sat Nav problem

Hi,

Interesting problem, perhaps you might try to do a reset of the system initially. Normally, this ought to revert everything back to factory default but of course all user settings, preferences and configurations would also be erased. Additionally, some models/units would also ask for an entry code before being operational, pls have this available if your unit requires one. An alternative method of reset is to remove power from the mains. But again, as a reset and a code might be required.

Could you possibly provide likewise the exact make and model of the Nav DVD-CD?

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
