IRiver iGP-100 does not turn on

What does a replacement rechargeable batter for the iGP-100 cost. Where can I get an AC adapter for my iGP-100?

You can contact iRiver at www.iriver.com. It cost me $70 to replace the HDD and battery so you need to decide whether it's worth it. You need to contact them to find out the battery replacement cost by itself. I've included their comments off the FAQ site below.

Replacement H10 (5/6GB) batteries can be purchased online at the iriver America e-store. The H10 (20GB), H100, H300 and iGP player batteries cannot be replaced by the user. Currently iriver does not have a battery replacement policy outside of the 1 year manufacturer's warranty. If the battery life degrades prior to that listed below, please contact iriver for current repair/replacement policy. An internal Li-Ion Polymer battery is used for the H100/H300 players. The battery life expectancy is calculated by how many times it can be discharged and recharged. The manufacturer of the battery guarantees that it can be recharged over 3,000 times. It is also guaranteed to perform at a minimum of 80% of its initial performance before 3,000 recharges. Given these factors, if you play the H player for 4 hours per day, you can play it for 3-4 days before recharging it considering a fully charged battery can last up to 12 hours (for iGP players) or 16 hours (for H players). After 3 years of use the battery performance will still perform at least 80% of the initial performance. The initial playback time may be shortened to 12 hours and 48 min (from initial 16 hours); therefore the battery expectancy life will be about 4 to 5 years for normal users.

You can order the charger from http://www.gomadic.com/brand-iriver-acce...

Iriver B30 low battery and will not charge

If the MP3 player battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

If the AC adapter light turns on the battery is dead. Replace it.

If the AC light does not turn on try another outletor the adapter is dead. Replace it.

If this helps please vote for my solution.

Toshiba satelite A100 rejects AC... often.

Just to humor me, are you using any peripherals with your laptop when this happens, such as a wireless mouse, USB connections such as digital cameras? Try to take these away when recharging.

There seems to be 2 issues here.
1) Recharing batteries: To prepare the batteries for long-term use (I do not know how long you've had the batteries...try draining the batteries (both of them), and then recharging it to full 2x before using them without the AC Adapter. This should clear the problem.

2) AC Adapter only works every other day: When you swapped the power pack, was it with a new AC adapter, or another used one? Also, have you tried using a different outlet than the one you normally use? Let me know how this turns out.

How do I charge battery

Simply hook the battery up to the player, plug in the adapter (house AC outlet, car adapter will not recharge batter), and turn the unit off.

The charging light should come on and when it goes out it's fully charged.

Battery back needs to be connected to the DVD player when charging. connect the batter pack to player. Run the DC/out from the battery pack to the DC/in in the player. plug the charger into the wall.

if that does not work, you have a bad battery
