hi, look for the degauss button and use it. the screen will go distorted a little then return to a good picture. if the condition you mention still exists, you need a new one. i do not think it is worth repair.as the cost of a new one is alot lower than in the past. i hope this helps you. good luck! and please rate this solution. if you need further help, reply.
