Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Hello, I have a HP laserjet M1319f MFP multifuntion printer and have problems to send faxes. When I call to the receiver, they pick up the phone and answer me. So, I ask for fax signal. When heard it, I press the sending buttom. Then, can´t ever send a fax. An error was showed on the unit (like, call error, no fax detected, etc.). But, if I call to a fax that was setted on automatic receiving, it works... I really appreciatte if you have an idea about what´s happening. Thank you Guillermo
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Are you using the software that shipped with the machine? I use the" HP Scan To" program which allows me to scan it to a slew of file types.
The only downer: I can't put the software on more than 1 computer. Apparently, it recognizes that the printer is hooked up to another machine and won't let me install any drivers on other computers (except the print driver).

If your printer is connected in the Network and you are able to print fine than there is no communication Error.
In htan case if you are not able to scan then you need to upgrade the firmware of the printer and install it and i m sure your printer wiill scan scanning on the Network.
Mentioned below is the link to download the latest firmware of the printer.
However before you start sending firmware to the printer you need to make sure that printer driver is installed on the PC.
Thanks and Regards

I had the same problem and just solved it by going into Setup - then Fax Setup - then All Faxes - Then Speed - and lowering the speed from fast to medium. Sure it's a couple seconds slower, but it finally works!!!

To perform a cold reset
1 Turn the MFP off and then on.
2 When the memory count appears on the control-panel display, press and hold 6 until all three
LEDs flash once and then stay on. This might take up to 20 seconds.
3 Press 3 four times until COLD RESET appears on the control-panel display.
4 Press 6 one time. The MFP continues its initialization sequence.
