Question about Nintendo Wii Console

1 Answer

My Wii sometimes freezes.

It only happens with wii play when 2 player option is selected. None of the controls on the box or the remotes do anything and the only solution is to turn it off at the wall. The wii was not used for a month and when it was used again the game worked on 2 player for 2 sessions but has now started freezing again. I'm going to try turning the wii off completely for a couple of hours and see what happens. Any other suggestions gratefully received. Thanks

If it just does it for that game at that point, he game might be defective or have a scratch or something... Generally though, to prevent the Wii from freezing up, make sure it has plenty of airflow and its fans aren't covered up. Even still, if you play it for a very long period of time it can overheat and freeze.

Remote trouble

This happens to me all the time. The connection port for the nunchuck and/or remote is loose from normal (sometimes abnormal) wear and tear. Unfortunately your best option will be to purchase new controllers, especially if it happens a lot. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but take better care of the new controllers when you get them.

OK, i got a new wii remote, set it up, and now none of my wii remotes are working including the one i just set up.

Try these two synchronization processes and if it still doesn't work than contact me:
  1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.

  2. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up.

  3. Press and release the SYNC button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the Player LED will blink. Quickly press and release the SYNC button on the inside of the SD Card compartment on the console.

  4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).

  5. This procedure must be followed for each additional Wii Remote added to your system.

    One Time Mode Synchronization
Press the HOME Button on a Wii Remote that is synchronized with the Wii console.

  1. Select the Wii Remote Settings option from the Home Button menu.

  2. Select the Reconnect Option.

  3. Press the 1 and 2 Buttons at the same time on the Wii Remote that you want to synchronize with the console. If you are syncing multiple Wii Remotes, press the 1 and 2 Buttons on each Wii Remote immediately (without a significant pause) in the order you want them synced. The order in which you synchronize Wii Remotes determines the player order (1 through 4) for multiplayer games. The Player LED will blink during the syncing process. When the blinking stops, the connection is complete.

It only lets me have 2 players at the beginning of wii play. It already has all 3 wii remotes connected to our wii, but for some reason the "MORE" button isn't an option when I first get into wii play

If you haven't noticed, Wii play is only a two player game, only two wii remotes can be connected. There is no reason to have more that 2 remotes connected.
