Green Blinking Timer Light Mitsubishi WD-62527

When I plug in my Mits WD-62527 the Green Timer light blinks rapidly for about 1 min. and then blinking light turns off, After the blincking light turns off I then try and turn on the set from both the remote & front panel buttons, but the set does not come on, Green blinking light stays out for about 1 min. and then starts blinking again (repeat process). I've tried the System reset button as the manual specifys and also unplugged the set and left unplugged for 1 hour but still get the same results when I plug back in. This TV has litterally got probably 20 hours use on it.. Any suggestions?

    same exact problem

  • Anonymous Jul 08, 2008

i have the same problem as the blinking green light.  in trying to correct this problem, i held down the recommended suggestion of holding down the menu button for 10 seconds and then press the power button.  the tv was still not coming on showing any picture.  please recommend another option.

In the last month i have had the "driver" replaced, the "color engine" replaced (for the 2nd time), and some sort of cable replaced on my WD-62527...all three with separate service visits...and now I have the problem of when I try to turn the tv on there is a clicking (like it is going to power up) then the light turns solid red. After unplugging (or resetting) the tv, the green light blinks for about a minute and then goes dark. The process repeats and repeats until eventually the tv will turn on. I have been told there is a way to get the error codes by pushing two of the buttons...does anyone have a clue what two buttons I should hold down? I have a call into the service guy...I will post how this resolves.

My tv turned off by itself and the green timer lights starts to blink, the blinking goes off after about 45 seconds, when I try to turn the unit on the timer light starts to blink again. I did unplug and push the reset button, I even put the surge protector. The problem is still the same, I cannot turn the tv on.

I have the same problem. I was told it's the dm board/dlp chip, and the tv may have taken a power surge. cost about 400.00 for the part.

My tv a mitsubishi d 62527 the green light kees blinking

Called the blinking green light of death---set should if power lost when put back blink for 70 seconds or so---digital unit booting up.

About the only simple cause is in the main power supply are four 1000 uf caps that puff up and fail--provide boot up voltage.

follower power cord to supply and look for bad caps (they will be easy to spot) and see attached photos of what to look for.

Mitsubishi TV WD-62527 will not turn on

Hi there, this is most commonly known as power board failure in the industry. the capacitors are blown. if you are experienced in inspecting circuit boards this will be helpful. you will have to disassemble and pull the power board and preform a break point test. the bown capacitors are easily picked out. they will be swollen and discolored. If you are not comfortable with disassembling this set, i suggest a service call. just tell the tech you are experiencing a power board failure.

Blinking green light under 'Timer' flashes there is no picture

If you have a green blinking LED that runs continuosly, its the widespread problem of failures of capacitors on several circuit boards in the TV. Currently Mits is having authorized service centers remove the chassis and send it them for rebuilding. Its an expensive and time consuming repair.

Mitsubishi wd-62825 dlp

If the green front panel LED blinks continuously and the TV never comes on, its an issue with the "DM" board. When these TVs are first plugged in, the green LED should blink for 30 sec. to a minute or so. This is the TV booting up, reading its software. Mitsubishi has been having problems with this circuit for several years. In may cases the only permanent solution is to have the chassis rebuilt by Mitsubishi at considerable cost and inconvience. The chassis may have to be sent back to Mits for this rebuild. Call Mits and ask for help.
