Keyboard wont work after battery change

My batteries were getting low, so i changed out the old ones and put new ones in. now none of the letters work when i type. the only keys that work are the ALT key and the microsoft key. I rebooted my computer. i pressed the button on the receiver. i unplugged the receiver and plugged it back in. the batteries were fresh. new in the pack. its not a batter problem because 2 buttons on the keyboard work. any suggestions?

Remove the batteries for 2 minutes. Try pressing the shift or ctrl button when typing. Could be they are soft-stuck.

Fortunately the price of thermostats has dropped over the past couple of years, so you probably know where I am taking you. It is time to replace that faulty thermostat with a new one. Simply remove the old one pay attention to where the wires come from and put them on the same lettered terminals to the old one. It is best to kill power to the furnace before replacing begins.

My keyboard wont type

Do you mouse work?
if you just change your batteries and your mouse work, just synchronise your keyboard with the receptor.
In the back of your keyboard, they are a small button; press it and press the small button in receptor to synchronise!

Keyboard wont connect

I've had the same problem with the Keytronic stuff. Most of the time new batteries solve the issue. Once, though, batteries didn't help. I discovered that if I wiggled the batteries it would work. I tried an old trick. Using a straw, put a drop of Coke on the connections. Scrub the area with an old toothbrush. If there's residue use rubbing alcohol to remove it.

My wireless keyboard seems to be selective about which letters to acknowledge whenI type any faster than a two year old despite new batteries It is the one that came with the hp iq 775 touch screen desktop...

Wireless keyboards do have some delay, especially when the batteries are low, are you sure the batteries have a charge? Sometimes even new batteries are dead or very weak.

Some wireless keyboards only have a range of a few feet, but, moving it closer kinda defeats the purpose of having one in the first place.

Have you tried to go to (classic view): start>settings>control panel>keyboards... to make adjustments?

Cordless keyboard not working after battery change

OK. I would next suggest that you go into control panel>system>device manager and look for the keyboard and delete it. It should then rediscover the device. Sometimes that happens--it's sort of like slapping it upside the head! You have to get its attention, if you will forgive the analogy.
You can do all this work with the mouse.

Replaced batteries in sky remote now it wont work

Have you got the batteries in the right way round? There is a + and or - sign to indicate which end they should be. Failing that the batteries are defunct. If this is the case put the old ones back in until you get some replacements.
