Purchased a dell optiplex GX240 second hand, tried to hook up my high speed internet, but it wouldnt connect so i tried device manger on the computer, clicked on ethernet controller and its saying "drivers for this device are not installed" when i try to reinstall the drivers, not online cos i'm not connected, it says, "windows could not find software for your device" i cannot download from dell website as im not online is there any other way that i can use high speed internet? do i need to purchase a network adapter card? USB/LAN adapter?. I'm not computer savvy as i'm sure your well aware by now, but could anyone help me it would be appreciated. Thanks Marty P.S.This is my second posting on the original some suggested that i go on dell support and download drivers but i'm not online i'm writing this pos from a friends computer, one also suggested that a download on to another computer but how would i transfer to my computer? YOUR HELP IN THIS MATTER IS GREATLY APPRECIATED
Use an USB pen-drive or even a floppy disk because the drivers can fit in 1 MB.
