Make sure you're getting 220 to the stove, maybe one breaker is off or bad.

How to unlock oven Door frigidaire?

Usually the door locks during a self cleaning cycle for safety reasons. If the self cleaning cycle did not finish properly (over temp sensor trip, etc.) it could end up with the lock deployed or it could be that the locking mechanism failed in the lock position (unlikely!). Turn off the power to the oven by finding the correct circuit breaker in your electrical distribution box. Keep it off for some 30 seconds. If the oven is ok it will reset and unlock the door. If it has a failure in the locking mechanism you should be able to access that part from the top or you may have to call a repair person. Hope this helps!

Hi.

the oven may have locked in consequence of the self cleaning cycle.

After unplugging, allow the oven cooling down for few hours.

If the is still locked, then the high temperature generated in self cleaning cycle may have damaged temp probe, door latch, or electronic control.

Parts must be tested to discover the fault.

Call Kenmore at the number listed on the owners manual.

Regards.

How do I use the self cleaning functions - kitchenaid oven

Hi,

Please allow me to help you first with some background of self cleaning functions:

Self-cleaning ovens use an approximately 900 degrees Fahrenheit (482 degrees Celsius) temperature cycle to burn off spills leftover from baking, without the use of any chemicals. A self-cleaning oven is designed with a mechanical interlock (patented in 1982) to keep the oven door locked and closed during and soon after the high-temperature cleaning cycle, which can be approximately three hours. The door stays locked to prevent burn injuries. You can open the oven door after the oven cools to approximately 600 F (315 C).

If baking spills are not wiped up after baking, there may be some smoke during an oven cleaning cycle. It is a good idea to remove any pets from the area when running the oven's self-cleaning cycle. There have been reports of oven-heated Teflon-coated items releasing odorless fumes deadly to birds.
Self-cleaning ovens have the added benefit of more insulation, which helps the energy efficiency for regular baking. This is similar in concept to an increased R-factor for home insulation.

You will also save energy costs by using the self-cleaning cycle right after baking, to make use of the already partially heated oven.

Please check this website mentioned bellow which would give you a detailed method of how to perform it:

Hope this would help you .

God Bless.

How can i quit cleaning oven?

During the self clean cycle, oven temp will exceed 900 degrees F. At these temps, if you opened the door, the food inside would immediately catch on fire when the supply of oxygen hit it. When you turn your self clean cycle off, the oven door will remain locked until the internal temp drop below aprox. 550 degrees F for your safety. Once the oven cool below this temp, you will be able to start using the bake or broil again. This should be a Fix-Ya for your oven.

I can't stop cleaning!!!

I had the same problem. The issue is in the electric switch that tells the oven whether the door lock is latched. If the switch gets stuck in the "clean" position, even though the lock is released, the oven will not run the regular cycles. If you wiggle the lock levr a few times it may free the switch, otherwise you'll have to raise the cooktop, and there is a metal cover over the mechanism. Remove the 2 screws holding the switch (unplug the power first) and you should be able to un-stick it. Reassemble and you're good to go, at least until you need to run the cleaning cycle again...
